What is it with liberals?

What is it with the Clintons?

What is it with liberal lies about health care?

Hillary Clinton is lying about health care again.

The state of Wisconsin is already experimenting with socialized medicine. John Stossel says this is a good idea because Wisconsin’s experiment can provide an important example for the rest of the country.

Tens of thousands of non-productive bums and leeches will move to Wisconsin to take advantage of socialized medicine. State income taxes will go through the roof. Corporations will flee Wisconsin to the safety of states that don’t punish businesses.

Federalism is a good thing.

This is what Ken says when he rationalizes the most egregious abuse of public money in recent memory; the bail out of Bear Stearns:

This is what Ken says about his fellow citizens, who  need medical care:

  • Tens of thousands of non-productive bums and leeches

In Kens twisted world it is quite acceptable for the current and future non-productive bums and leeches tax dollars to provide a giant windfall for Bear Sterns and save the bacon of  RNC contributors. Its also acceptable for "free trade and market forces" designed to reward the rich and privileged to rape the middle class and turn once productive citizens into bums and leeches

Such is the mind set of conservatives and a good demonstration of the morally bankrupt state of the Republican party in particular and conservatives in general.

 Elections are a good thing.

50% of all Americans pay zero income tax. These people didn't bail out Bear Stearns. They can't even provide themselves with health insurance and other basic needs. I guess we need to support them financially, so they can continue to procreate, and spread their seed across the fruited plain.

50% of all Americans pay zero income tax.

Nice meaninless statistic...particularly since approx 36% are not required to.

65+  35,000,000(1)

.1 to 16  63,000,000

Stay at home parent  8,000,000

Severe disabilities  33,000,000(2)

139,000,000

I guess we need to support them financially, so they can continue to procreate, and spread their seed across the fruited plain.

Yeah I'm sure the Americans under sixteen, and the elderly and the severely disabaled are procreat(ing), and spread their seed(s) across the fruited plain. On second thought those good conservatives in Texas and Utah seem to have a thing for young children. One winders were they get all that  money to build those compounds.

(1)Of course the 35M that are over 65 on SSA do not pay income tax...even though they may pay taxes on other income.

(2) Did you know that 52.6 million people in the US had some level of disability? This figure is 19% of the population or close to one in every five Americans.

Of that total, 32.9 million, 0r 10 % had what are categorized as severe disabilities and 10.1 of that number million people lived with extream level of disability,  impairments so severe that it  impacts their lives as to make independence impossible. This is 3.8% of the U.S. population.

Talk about spin! Try explaining away this graphic.
pie

The top 50% of wage earners in America pay 96.54% of all income taxes.

I also like these statistics provided by the Prince of Darkness:

"About 41 percent of Americans have no income tax liability or do not file a return. But every wage-earner is hit by the payroll tax, amounting to more than they pay in income taxes for 86 percent of them."

Did you get that? 86% of all wage earners in America pay more payroll tax than they pay in income tax.

There is nothing to explain other than I caught you and now your attempting to re-spin the thread. The "payroll" tax was not even part of the discussion, but nice try.

Novak columns and Limpballs graphics are always supspect , based on recent history. That being said, allow me remind you of your ordinal statement. Pay attention!

You said

50% of all Americans pay zero income tax.
Not all American tax payers , 50% of all Americans pay zero income tax. Not, payroll tax...income tax.  I can only assume that you wouldn't have purposely said that to embellish the statistic, now would you? No, of course not.

These people didn't bail out Bear Stearns. They can't even provide themselves with health insurance and other basic needs.

Of course these "people" didn't out Bear Stearns. Why should they? I pointed out that of the 300 Million  Americans 139 Million are not required to pay income taxes because for various reasons they can't work.

I guess we need to support them financially...

It is true many of the 139 million can't even provide themselves with health insurance and other basic needs. Some aren't even potty trained yet Some are profoundly retarded or suffer other major disabilty.

...so they can continue to procreate, and spread their seed across the fruited plain.

Many don't work...because they are children. Of course conservatives have no problem with child labor, or, apperently under age sex workers...like Rush Limbaugh

Why you are  preoccuped with procreationonly only your psychoanalyst can explain.

“Did you know that 52.6 million people in the US had some level of disability? This figure is 19% of the population or close to one in every five Americans.”

I can believe it. Once you get on the disability gravy train, you are issued one of these, so you can park wherever you like, and you don’t have to work anymore. I think I’ve probably seen 52.6 million of these stickers on rear view mirrors of vehicles owned by people who jump in and out of their cars like Olympic athletes.
I can park anywhere!
After being declared “disabled”, other people have to take care of you for the last 30 years of your life. It’s a pretty sweet deal! After my taxes get high enough, I’m going to have myself classified as “disabled”, and quit working. Even though I will have amassed sizeable net worth, I’m going to make Spencer and Jarett and Mookie take care of me for decades. Remember, my grandmother is still alive, and she could run a freakin’ marathon.

“I pointed out that of the 300 million Americans, 139 million are
not required to pay income taxes because for various reasons they can't work.”
That’s correct. So roughly 80 million Americans are paying all of the income tax, and the other 220 million Americans are mooching off this overburdened minority. Those 80 million people are called "Republicans", and they're tired of your bullshit.

Yes Ken rants and raves and complains about others yet when we examine a simple graph it shows that when the Republicans came to power the number of people not paying taxes almost doubled.

Taxes

So Republicans allow less people to pay income tax and then Ken wants to bitch and moan and blame the Democrats.

Of course these are the same people who have doubled the National Debt while telling us how cutting taxes will help us balance the budget.

Besides the original statement Ken was 50% of all Americans pay zero income tax. These people didn't bail out Bear Stearns.

Income Tax is not the only Federal Tax so all taxpaying Americans did indeed bail out Bear Stearns, whether they pay Income Tax or not.

That's a pretty cool graph. I'll bet Fred winced when he saw it, because it supports my position.

There are 80 million Americans paying $3 trillion per year in taxes, and we're getting pretty angry.

The solution is spending cuts, not more taxation.

by KenTX on 04/06/2008 06:54:41 PM EST

How it supports your position is unclear as is the ever shifting position you are trying to take.

I jumped into the conversation when you posted this little jewel. 50% of all Americans pay zero income tax. These people didn't bail out Bear Stearns.

The implication here is that if you don't pay income tax you don't pay any Federal Tax. I think we have proven the point that all consumers pay some tax, so you assertion about who bailed out Bear Strearns is at best ill informed because all consumers pay taxes.

Then you bitch and moan about the number of people paying income tax claiming that all 80 million people who pay income tax are Republican and you are all getting tired of paying. Yet when we examine the facts it was Republican policies that caused fewer people to actually share the tax burden you claim victory? So why aren't you pissed at the people who caused this shrinking tax base? You know REPUBLICANS?

To quote a great Republican....You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can not fool all of the people all of the time.

I think the people are beginning to see who the fools are and it's the people who blame others for the disasters they created.

You keep on spinning Ken that's what you do best.

Keep working on that line of reasoning. Soon you'll come to the conclusion that the best path to a balanced budget and economic security is dramatic reduction in federal spending. Then we'll have nothing to debate with respect to economic issues.

"Now Ken is calling for a dramatic decrease in spending a la back to the Clinton years."

In order for us to reduce spending like in the 1990s, we will need a GOP controlled Congress, like in the 1990s.

Remember those budget battles and the government shut downs? Republicans were demanding significant spending cuts and the Clinton Administration was desperately resisting.

The Republicans are the ones who doubled the National Debt in a mere 7 years.

In case you forgot it was a Republican controlled Congress with a Republican White House that accelerated spending to the all time high levels that it reached, while telling us the way to reduce the debt was cut taxes.

Now you want to spin it that the only way to solve the problem is to put back in power the people who actually compounded&nb sp;the problem.

You keep spinning Ken because that's what you do best.

they think they are the consumate bussinessmen and economists.

The Rethugs are just recycling the old "Cal Worthington ad"

How can I charge such low prices? Volume Volume Volume!

The idea that cutting taxes to generate more revenue may have some validity but as Ken points out we dont tax wealth. That is one of the problems, the top percentiles are simply taking the cuts and converting it to wealth production that only generates jobs on Wall St, not Main St

In my business when I was looking to cut costs I would determine what revenue stream would be effected then cut the expense first...then recoup the savings for additional profit or usually pass on the savings to the customer

These guys have it backwards...

In my first stint as a poster there was a guy I called 90s man because he completely ignored everything that had happened since the 2000 election and obsessively posted about Monica Lewinsky.

Ken, congratulations.  This post show the appropriate level of dementia and complete unawareness of the 2000s that you are now the New 90s man.  You may not be Barry Allen, but there is no shame in being Wally West.  (I am shamed by the DC reference).

Of course, I am not even going to make the point that of Clinton's eight budgets two were passed by the democratic congress and others went into effect almost exactly as Clinton had written them after he bitch-slapped that whiny little pussy Gingrich into submission.

Oh, and didn't he have the line-item veto?  But, yeah I am sure it was all the GOP Congress.  The last 7 years have certainly bourne that out.

Great point, Ken.  Or should I say 90s man.

Nice try. Unrelated to the orginal post, but nice try.

Oh yeah, it's a total fabrication. " BTW, how did we go back to income tax again? To recap First it was

50% of all Americans pay zero income tax

Then it was wage earners and payroll tax.

Did you get that? 86% of all wage earners in America pay more payroll tax than they pay in income tax

Now were back to income tax even though you did the taxpayer part correct this time and your claim went from 150 million to 80 million.

I guess the 71 million children and stay at home parents( whose spouse works) need to get out there and get a job! But your right I guess the 39 million with severe disablities could sell pencils. Yep the  quadriplegics  could mount the cup on their forehead make change with their teeth.

So roughly 80 million Americans are paying all of the income tax, and the other 220 million Americans are mooching off this overburdened minority.

Now your hating on disabled people. I like the story. Funny.  However...it is a lot like Reagans nonexistent welfare Caddlac.

I had a disabled permit...when we (my family) were caring for my mother. You see being an Alzheimers caregiver counts for that. Sometimes the vehicles owned by people who jump in and out of their cars like Olympic athletes are caregivers as well.

It was helpful when we had to take her to see her doctors, elder daycare and when we had to take her to the hospital  the last time before she went into fulltime nusing care...that sort of thing. Sorry.

All thats water under the bridge and of little consequence to the 80 million people called "Republicans", and  who are tired of my bullshit.

I’m going to have myself classified as “disabled”

One last thing...When you go to get you disablilty certification be sure you show them your TYT posts...you'll be a shoe in.

50% of all Americans pay zero income tax.

While many Americans don't pay INCOME TAX, almost all Americans pay taxes.

Fuel tax, Telecommunications tax, excise tax on alcohol and cigarettes, tariffs and of course as I know Kenny would argue all corporate taxes are ultimately passed on to the consumer, so ALL consumers in America are paying Federal Taxes and once again paying for the incompetence of others.

These people didn't bail out Bear Stearns.

You might want to rethink that argument.

As I've stated before, Bill Gates was able to amass a fortune of $65 billion, while paying relatively little in the way of taxes. That’s because we tax income in America rather than wealth.

Rich people don't earn paychecks like the rest of us. Bill Gates does not pay taxes on his wealth until he sells some of his Microsoft stock to buy a toy.

If you want to prevent families like the Kennedys from developing inter-generational kingdoms, tax the hell out of their estates when they die.

As the laws are currently written, a guy making six figures gets killed by income taxes. By contrast, rich guys (above six figures) have numerous options for sheltering wealth.

Income taxes are a great scheme for the Super Rich. That's why they so often support Democrat candidates.

Your fear of Hillary is becoming quite the obsession.

Insofar as Socialized medicine, I agree it won't work in a single state for some the reasons you stated. It would only work if the whole nation took part.

You must be very careful when discussing medical care in this forum. Many businesses support socialized medicine because of competitive issues with foreign countries.

Think about it, the current system is broken and actually costing people like you "more" money. Simply put the working people pay for everyone (whether we like it or not). Cost are exorbitant specifically due to the non-payment of others. Many who put off getting treatment (at a lower cost) only to get really sick (costing more).

I used to work in a hospital during the 80s when goverment assistance was cut, this led to the costs being deferred to the insurance companies. The funding for the mentally ill was cut thowing them into other forms of goverment assistance (and on the street, creating a whole host of other social problems).

Being a police officer I see the results of these policies first hand. Both as an insurance subscriber and as a public servant. Some things are best left to the goverment (with the proper oversight).

Look, she's right there looking at you and she is smiling. She's playing a record for you "Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd" why is she carrying a needle? Relax just a little pin prick and it will be all over.
