Are the powers that be knocking off hookers?
Is that too far beyond the realm of possibility?
I don't think this would be a partisan "conspiracy" theory because I'm sure that there are dudes on both sides of the aisle paying to play so to speak, but it sure is in lots of people's interest that this lady is not around to write a book or do interviews now.
Nuetralize the problem.

One of the escort service employees was former University of Maryland, Baltimore County, professor Brandy Britton, who was arrested on prostitution charges in 2006. She committed suicide in January before she was scheduled to go to trial.

Last year, Palfrey said she, too, was humiliated by her prostitution charges, but said: "I guess I'm made of something that Brandy Britton wasn't made of."

I guess she wasn't.

By the way, I was completely watching the active 911 and sheriff calls last night (there was an undercover detective shot.) I saw 'dead person' listed for that area she was found. Must have been her.

Watching "the active 911 and sheriff calls last night"?  Maybe it's time to get the blue rodester and flashlight out.

I lived in North Tampa. Do you have any idea how many bodies show up in Hillsborough and Pinellas county a month (not including the ones that are dumped in the Hillsborough river that the alligators make disappear)?

Anyway, let me guess. EMT?

My brother works for Sunstar and I have several connections to the SPPD (why I was interested in the shooting last night.)

Man, North Tampa... f'n urban sprawl.

Not really, more like condo sprawl.

Where I was, just to the south was USF, to the east was Temple Terrace, to the north was uber wealthy condos (Derek Jeter lived in those during the winter when I was there) and to the east was Tampa's infamous suitcase city.

That is what I miss about Florida. The constant mix of interesting people.

So, was it her? The body, not the teacher.

"Rape, beating, maiming, disfigurement and more than likely murder disguised in the form of just another jailhouse accident or suicide would await me," Palfrey wrote.  More details here.

Although I was angered when I heard Palfrey released her list, a sad tale whether suicide or murder.

Apparently what classifies this as a murder is the fact that there was a note, so it just goes to show, if you've got to murder someone in Florida, be sure to leave a note.

Did Joe Scarbrough leave a note on his dead girl in Florida?

What a fucked up set of priorities we have in this country.  Here they were about to send some woman up for 50 years for charging some wealthy men a lot of money to fuck beautiful women.  Meanwhile, Bush and Cheney go free after starting a war that's killed hundreds of thousands, and it's the hooker that feels ashamed.   If you get a beautiful woman shredded or burned by bombs or bullets, that's "collateral damage", and you walk free, but if you fuck one of them for money, now that's a crime.

I had spoken with Brandi Britton who worked for Palfrey, an English teacher (or professor-not sure) and Brandi said that if she (Brandi) wound up dead, it would not be suicide, that the powers-that-be were already following and threatening her.  I don't know what to think because the reports were pretty definite that it was suicide.

Palfrey did a lot by taking down Tobais, the man in charge of 'stopping prostitution around the world' who was actually seeing hookers.  But there was very little fallout/focus on that stupid program.  http://www.bayswan.org/gago rder/mainpage_gag.html  ; has info

I heard one commentator say that madams are not very stable people, but I have found all sorts of small business owners to be not-very-stable so I wouldn't pathologize her.  I worked for madams and worked as a waitress.  The madams were better.

Of course the criminalization and stigmatization drives us to suicide.  The leader of the sex workers movement  (Guan Xiou Qin ) in Taiwan committed suicide after they criminalized her work.

Sex workers appreciate the Young Turks, which is one of the only media outlets that supports law reform in this industry.

I hope Larry Flint ratchets up the investigation (Cheney anyone?) and gets some more data out.

And a second investigation as to whether this was indeed a suicide.

Weird that we have to rely on Larry Flint to get any kind of truth out.
