Men, I really miss the old gang

I hope someday they get back together

It was awesome to hear Ben in Friday's show. Also it was funny to hear Jill's name mentioned in a tangential way on Thursday.

I got me thinking about the good old Sirius Left days. I still remember the first time I heard the show, I was instantly hooked. I couldn't believe there was a political show with a funny slant. Not only that, it was entertaining. It had games and other interesting topics (mostly sex).

I also remember hearing a sexy voice and I thought  "I would like to meet her", it was Jilly Jill. She was portrayed as the uninformed voice. Although I always thought her points were smart and interesting. I loved her epic fights with Cenk.

We all know what happened next, the show moved to Air America. It got more serious and a little bit more boring. Later Jill left, Ben followed shortly. Then, TYT made a successful transition to the web (I'm proudly a member). On the web the show got back to its entertainment roots with the post game show.

I still love the show, but in my heart I'm always going to secretly hope that the show blows up and the old gang can get back together. Does anyone else feel this way?

But Cenk's holding it down quite well. It sure would be kool if he landed a gig for the Turks at MSNBC, maybe get enough bread to lure Ben back full time, along with Michael Shure, Jill, and my boy Wes Jr.

>sigh<

Especially hearing Ben's terrible audition story on the RPG.  Give the poor guy his job back.

Anybody who's reading this and hasn't become a member yet definitely should.  Maybe if we got enough members we could get Ben back.  And if all the kids at home could join hands and wish their hardest, maybe... just maybe, we could get our old team back.

I love Cenk solo, but his on air chemistry with Ben is undeniable.

for regular appearances. Let's face it, Ben was the real voice of reason, and they had great chemistry. The thing I've really missed during the primary season is a level-headed counter punch to bring Cenk down to earth once in a while. Ben provided that. Wes used to fill this role, and Michael Shore also when they were making regular appearances. Both of those guys are Hillary supporters, and their appearances have elevated her in my eyes on occasion. They were good ambassadors for the Clinton Campaign on an intensely pro-Obama show.

Anyone know George Soros? Bill Gates? An "A-List" movie star? An "Angel" (in financial terms)? A successful bank robber? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

In case there are a few folks out there who are under any delusions, the Turks are in fairly dire financial straits. Current (meager) financing is tenuous and could end at the end of the month.

Have you thought about sending your "stimulus" checks to the Turks? Had any local car washes or bake sales to gather funds? Any of you D.J,'s had a dance, rave, or a gig in a club in which a potion of the proceeds go to the Turks? (Hey, you gotta eat!) Have any of you drug sealers added $5 to your product as a "bank" for TYT? Hit men - have you taken on an extra assignment for the Turks benefit? Dirty cops - would it really kill you to set aside some of your "look the other way" money for a good cause? Strippers - dedicate one pole performance to TYT and send all the dollars to TYT "Champagne room" girls, you could help out, too...) Chris Rock! Tina Fey! Adam Sandler! Jessica Albe! Donate TODAY!!!

Let's hear some crative fund raising thought fr some others.

First one to say "coffee cups" is sentenced to three extra membership payments, concurrent with regular fee.

Of course, I could just be insane...

...and now back to our regular thread....

"and could end at the end of the month."

I am not sure what the fuck I was thinking of when I wrote this, other that there is a possibility that the show could end abruptly at any time without warning. I had absolutely NO intention of suggesting that TYT would go dark at the end of the month. I have NO reason or even an inkling that such might be the case!

My sincerest apologies, Turks and fans alike. I hope I didn't cause too much consternation with my lacj of concenteration.

Wednesdays with Wes Clark Jr., the weekly or at least bi-weekly visit from Ben (which has happened to some extent since he left TMZ). Most of all, of course, Jill (sorry guys, but I'm sure you understand, Ben, Wes, Cenk et al).

Although I am holding out a slight hope that once this Democratic mess is over we will have several co-host sessions with Jill on the show. I actually am kinda glad she hasn't been on with her whole "Third Way" (probably DLC-leaning) and likely still Hillary-leaning worldview. Not because I don't want to hear the arguments (though I don't, anymore), but more because I don't want to have any seeds of dislike sown for her due to those arguments.
