Bush has insult snapped back at him - by the EGYPTIAN press

This past week, Democrats were fending off the latest inane Republican attack, "appeasement" becoming the catch-all phrase for dealing with power mad despots intent on forcing their will upon other countries with the aid of many, many weapons of mass destruction.
Are the Egyptians the most subtle people
ever when it comes to irony, or is it a coincidence?
Bush An "Appeaser," Says Egyptian Press Critics Raise Questions About Credibility Of U.S. Role In Middle East
"...A front page editorial in Al-Gomhouria, another Egyptian state-owned daily, described Mr. Bush as "a failed president who delivers nothing but a lousy speech."
I am assuming that the Egyptians are going with the same definition Bush intended, (appease - #3, "to buy off [an aggressor] by concessions usually at the sacrifice of principles") rather than the first definition, "to bring to a state of peace or quiet," since that has never been Bush's strong suit...or goal...
What I'm going to keep my eye on is the Repub response - if any - to these charges. The DNC might want to take a few notes also. Unless I'm way off the beam, the R's will poo-poo the whole idea, exclaim how Israel is a great friend and so is Egypt and it isn't appeasement to try and bring people closer together.
As they continue down their path of "Israel First - No Matter What!" Believe me, I fervently wish they would actually TRY the method they proclaim during the spin for a change.
As we saw, the Democrats rolled out the Usual Suspects to profess their "outrage" and demand apologies. The fools. What did ANY of that blather accomplish other than provide a segue into the NEXT segment on the "outrage"?
Every Democrat approached about the "controversy" should have glared at the reporter and said, "I can't believe you are asking such a stupid question. Ask a question relevant to Iraq or the mid-east where the problems exist today, not Yugoslavia in 1938. Stop wasting America's time," instead of, once again, yet again, haven't learned a damn thing again, actually trying to defend against the "charge."
Idiots. Still following the #1 rule of insanity.
What the Democrats need is someone who sits OUTSIDE all the "strategy" m
eetings, looks at the various possibilities of a situation and actually figure out how BEST to proceed before letting ANYONE say anything on camera. I realize that at that point, the best that person could do would be to offer "suggestions," since Democrats have a natural aversion to unity, but, hey, maybe it's worth a shot.
I nominate Lewis Black.
