McCain Charm Offensive

Google Technorati del.icio.us digg reddit
While Obama and Hillary are beating each other’s brains out in the Eternal Democrat Primary, John McCain is developing an image as the cool guy everyone wants to have a beer with.

If McCain wins maybe his suits can be covered in patches advertising those products and others for septagenerians.  He can appeal to the South and its NASCAR crowd while displaying his love of (whorring for) corporate America.

If I could have a beer with someone who wants to be president, and I look at who I actually drink beer with...I would certainly NOT want that person in office!

That both Obama and Clinton did Letterman's Top 10 list and that Obama was on the Daily Show (don't know about Hillary).  I saw SNL with McCain and I was laughing at him more than I was laughing with him.  Is there really a point to this thread?

Obama can't deliver a line without a teleprompter. He is more stiff than Al Gore, and more haughty than John Kerry. Once again, you guys have managed to nominate a man in the mold of Mondale, Dukakis, McGovern, Kerry, Gore, Humphrey, Carter.

Run with it.  All the way to the White House!

So far your platform seems to be:

  • Lets talk a lot about high gas prices.
  • 100 years in Iraq.
  • More wars, my friend.
  • John McCain is soooooo funny.
  • Barack Obama is a terrible speaker.
  • Stay the course on economics.

You are constructing quite the juggernaut here, Ken.

People in these states prefer to vote for candidates "like them". Barack Obama is not "like them". My new 527 was created with the mission of explaining that Obama does not share the values of Middle Class America and Rural America.

Hummm let me see,

"People in these states prefer to vote for candidates "like them"

What kind of people could Ken be talking about ?

Oh here's a few posing for Kens 527  supporters page, these guys are from the "IN" chapter...and they are deffinitely "like them".

Kens 527 has room for the ladies" like them " too!

Here are the voters the Party of Family Values, the Party of Lincoln, want to cultivate,  people "like them"

Here is the entrance to the KenTX 527s new version of "

Its a Small World After All"...especially for people like them.

I guess any one would appear "haughty" when compared with the "decider". How dare Obama use coherent complete sentences! He must be using a different "strategery" than Republicans are use to. Its called literacy. Refreshing isn't it...

But once again your full of shit...

Obama can't deliver a line without a teleprompter.

I know you favorite game is "Where's Waldo" so wheres the teleprompter here?

 Or here..

or here

McCain has such a well developed sense of humor that he calls his wife a trollop and a cunt.  Ooooopsie-doopsie.

His hilarious Wierd Al style spoof of the Beach Boys song with its big punchline of sending 1,000s of American troops to kill and die in a foriegn land.  It had to be funny because it cracked Grampa Death up.

Good times....

Does anyone actually believe that McCain came up with those jokes on his own? Do you think that the SNL crew would allow him to ad lib? Can you not see how everything was timed for comedic effect? Did you not see McCain reading off a teleprompter, notice his eyes were unnaturally fixed on something? Its really sad and scary when someone's own SENSES cannot even tell him the reality, indoctrinated pig.

Never been prouder of being a native Oregonian.  I like how people are saying that this crowd was a result of Oregon having a warm sunny day and people having nothing better to do.  HA!!  As if a warm sunny day inspires people to stand in a line 23 blocks long for three hours.

People did not turn out because of a "warm sunny day". I had my wife and kids stay at home because the heat was oppressive. There was a line 10 people wide, and about a mile long snaking through downtown portland to get in, much of it standing in open sun. At the end they had to stand in more lines to get through 2 layers of security, TSA and Secret Service. The volunteer docents were really suffering, believe me. Then people had to sit on the lawn in the blazing sun for 2 hours before Obama came out. Everyone in that crowd was tired by that time. He still got'em going. Yes it was a beautiful day in Portland, and a beautiful setting on the Willamette River. But people stood out there in that hot sun in spite of the weather, not because of it.

I was tempted to drive the two hours to Portland, but once I heard that there might be 40 to 50 thousand people there I decided that I would stay home.  I'm so glad you went!  It has to be about the first time in history that the weather was so accomodating.  Doesn't that prove that god wants Obama to be the president? <insert winky smile here>  But seriously, it was a historic event and really put me in a hopeful mood about politics for the first time in many many years.

I understood your post, I was backing you up--although it could seem like I misread your intention, I didn't. The gathering was very mellow. It was a shock to me to learn later how many people actually came.
