That was SOOOO good! Democrats with a spine, telling that blight of a human being to STFU. I think the sheer amount of anger in his face, and in the force he hit the gavel showed that he is fed up with Republican's filibuste ring to protect this administration. A sign of things to come? God I hope so!

Is there anything that no longer falls under executive privelage? I was always sort of under the impression that it was reserved for immediate matters of security. Basic enviornmental policy, wow, who'd of thunk it?

Bush claims that any conversation he has is protected AND any conversation people he has conversed with have (even with other people) is protected.

Seriously.  That is not an exaggeration.

Oh, and there is no obligation on his part to explain or defend any of these conversations.  They are protected without ability to question.

The current congress (democrats included) and the previous three have essentially ratified his view of executive power by not challenging it.

Ad that is why I don't so much promote the Dems as argue they are the preferable option.

I kind of assume this is, at least in part, because the Dems expect to be in the White House next year and aren't really in that big of a hurry to give up all that sweet, sweet power.

Jaded enough for ya?
