Arianna Huffington's Great Idea

Forget hounding Hillary.  Let's put pressure on the superdelegates!

So it's time for the uncommitted superdelegates to stop their dithering, come out of hiding, hop off the fence, endorse Obama and officially bring this nominating process to an end.

The Democratic leadership -- starting with Pelosi, Reid, and Dean -- should begin working behind the scenes to get all uncommitted supers to immediately commit. Let Puerto Rico, South Dakota, and Montana have their say, but start bringing the curtain down now.

And let's not just wait for the party leaders to put pressure on the superdelegates. Let's start putting pressure ourselves. Below you will find a list of all the uncommitted superdelegates. And this link will lead you to profiles of them. Please call or email the elected officials and track down the DNC members who live in your state and let them know that you want them to stand up and be counted. Now.

Psssst.... do something.  You can start by following her links and contacting a few people.  You can also forward her story to as many like-minded folks as you know, and ask them to do the same.  Let's go viral on the super delegates.  If we can even get a handful moving (especially the bigger names), more will follow.

start pressuring the SDs to vote for Clinton. Oh, that's right you meant Obama. I wonder how you would react if I made a suggestion like that.

The Superdelegates were created specifically for this circumstance. They are not supposed to "just" vote for the delegate leader. They are not supposed to "just" vote for the leader in the popular vote. They are supposed to vote for the candidate who has the best chance to defeat the Pubs in November.

In my view, none of the SDs should have committed or pledged themselves to either candidate until the primaries are over.

I know I'll get fried for this but I do believe that Clinton stand a better chance at winning in Nov.

That said both candidates need each other. Both to win the election and to clean up the Pub mess afterward.

They are the Yin and Yang, together they would be unstoppable.

We sould be pressuring the SDs to force these two to wed, one way or the other

Working togther for a better tomorrow:)

Go ahead and ask the SDs to support Clinton.  The wave is unstoppable.

It's another day in paradise...

you would just be wrong.

Hillary lost needs to bow out gracefully and start supporting Obama.

Bill and Hillary as the VP?  I dont think I like that idea at all.

but you are too

If you switched the candidates with Clinton at 51% and Obama at 49% would you be begging Obama to get out? I honestly doubt it, especially if he could still win the popular vote. You would be making the same arguments I have concerning the existence of the SDs.

At the very least you would be demanding VP simply due to the vote total (will of the people and all)

Fact: the majority of Dems want them on the same ticket.

If you are worried about Bill make him Ambassador to the U.N. (You might hate him but the world loves him)

I could live with that and the following

Biden-State
Nunn-Head of the CIA
Clark-Defense
Wexler-Atty Gen
Edwards-HUD
Richarson-Immigration
Hagle-Homeland Security

That would be a GOOD start

Would absolutely be begging for Obama to quit if the numbers were reversed.  I just want a damn candidate.  Quit working from the Hillary talking point that all non-Hillary supporters are delusional nutjobs.  It really undermines yourt contributions here.

As for the rest of it, fine but I wouldn't give Hagle shit he is a wolf in sheeps clothing.  I think I prefer Luger if I had to take one.
