Count ALL the Votes!

Hillary is fighting to have all the Michigan Primary votes counted.  But 40% of the Michigan Primary voters voted for "Uncommitted" while Clinton was on the ballot and Obama, Edwards, Richardson and Dodd WEREN"T on the ballot.  http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION /2008/primaries/results/sta te/#MI

When will all these "Anyone BUT Hillary" votes be counted???

40% of the Michigan Primary voter CLEARLY voted "Not Hillary."  She's supposedly standing up for the Michigan Primary voters. EXCEPT the 45% who VOTED AGAINST HER.

How do you seat delegates from Michigan, 45% voted "Not Hillary," giving ALL to them would be an INJUSTICE, as opposed to the Hillary camp that INSIST a "not Hillary" vote really means a vote FOR Hillary???

My understanding was that if anybody in Michigan wrote in Obama, Edwards, or anybody else whose name was not on the ballot, their vote was simply discarded (and anyone who did had a chance afterwards to file some documentation to change their vote to an option that was on the ballot, but how many do you think actually did it let alone knew about it, given they were told it wouldn't count anyway).

Clinton may well have lost Michigan if the state had run a normal election and followed the rules.  To be the only major candidate on the ballot and only get 55% of the vote speaks volumes about one's disapproval.

"...40% of the Michigan Primary voter CLEARLY voted "Not Hillary."  She's supposedly standing up for the Michigan Primary voters. EXCEPT the 45% who VOTED AGAINST HER."

Don't forget at least 10-15% of Democratic voters who crossed over to vote for Mitt Romney, to prolong the Republican primary, and all other the people who didn't vote for a presidential candidate because it wouldn't count. My friends in Michigan laugh at the idea that Hillary could have won if the voters knew that the primary counted, and all candidates were on the ballot. She wasn't even their second choice.

That's only a few people, but when you consider that she would most likely lose in Detroit, Ann Arbor, Lansing, and other high population areas, Clinton shouldn't get close to a majority of the votes. If they want to be "fair" and split 50/50, that's OK, but she loses anyway.

What's her point except more campaigning for John McCain?

1) She didn't really win Michigan and definitely would have lost in a fair election (all names on ballot).

2) She did win Florida but would have won by less if they hadn't agreed not to campaign.

3) The fact that she signed her name agreeing to disenfranchise the voters of FL and MI before they voted and then "accidentally" left her name on the MI ballot and now demands they all be counted because she happened to win makes her look a lot more like an opportunist than a civl rights crusader.

Those who point out Hillary is only willing to fight for the votes that help her cause are correct.  Does anyone believe she would be fighting so hard for MI to count if she had lost it?

Please.

Old women in FL out in the heat beating their chests and yelling count my vote  .

Bobo might be right . There is a certain amount of psychosis setting except  its not Obama supporters or Obama.

According to one article I read (I wish I could find it now), over 700,000 people in Michigan didn't go out to vote because they knew it wouldn't count or their candidate was not going to be on the ballot.  What about those people?  No one is representing the voices that  were not heard.  Michigan and Florida should have half of their delegates count, but it should be done in a way that no candidate gets an advantage.

This is my signature.

The voters didn't create this mess.

The candidates didn't create this mess

The DNC created this mess, through excess punishment at the behest of one Donna Brazile.

The normal punishment of 1/2 delegates would have solved this problem.

A revote in both states paid for by Brazile and the rest of the DNC would work.

You cannot negotiate vote totals in an election.

As I see it, either you count the votes as cast or have a revote.

I dont know which math to use to count the votes.  Should we use the old math they taught me in school.  Or the new Clinton math?  Old math 2 plus 2 equals 4.  Clinton math we only count popular vote in swing states that will count in the General.
