A short post about a Bill Clinton comment

Mr Clinton said as he campaigned on his wife's behalf in South Dakota on Sunday. "I have never seen anything like it. I have never seen a candidate treated so disrespectfully just for running," - many sources
Really? Never? While your wife was the presumptive lead candidate before the first vote was cast, how respectfully were Mike Gravel and Dennis Kucinich treated by your wife's campaign and the media in general?
How about Carol Moseley Braun, Al Sharpton, Dennis Kucinich or Howard Dean last time around?
Gore in 2000???
I rarely see anything BUT candidates treated disrespectfully just for running. The focus on haircut prices, 'ethnicity' of names, religious backgrounds - all that background crap is a way to belittle a person. It is disrespect when our media chooses ahead of time who to cover or not and shunt the rest off to the side without America ever really getting a fair overview of each.
It is disrespect when two people want to hold on to their personal power so desperately that they would hold half a political party hostage in their hand-on-the-hips, foot-stompin' defiance of reality.
Is the titular head of the Democratic Party unaware of the general level of not just disrespect but actual contempt politicians are held, in general? Does he not see that his own actions further cement that contempt?
Lotsa glass houses, so many stones being tossed....
