The Scarf Contraversy

OK, this is going to fall way down to the bottom of the importance list. I saw this last night on NBC at 10:00 PM. There is some sort of "contraversy" over Rachel Ray wearing a scarf in a Duncin' Donuts commercial. Michelle Malchin (SP) and some other guy were complaining about the scarf being something worn by "Muslim terrorists" in Palestine. She's reffering to a kaffiya (spelling is way off here, sorry about that) which is worn by many middle eastern men. -_- The usual whining and btching ensued. The whole "It shows support to the terrorists" BS.
Just wondering if anyone else heard anything about this. I know I shouldn't be surprised by the massive amounts of ignorance here but....really... A SCARF?! It's also amusing in a way to see how absolutely paranoid these NeoCon Pundits are. They see enemies in everything. We're talking about something millions of people wear every day as a fashion accessory. Suddenly, if you wear a paisly scarf you're now supporting the terrorists.
Do these people EVER stop to just LISTEN to what they are saying and how moronic and hysterical they sound? (I already know the answer.)
Note: sorry for any spelling errors on here. There's no spell check. :3
Edit: OK I don't watch TYT live, so I actually found this out AFTER Cenk and Michael did. O_O Yeah, I know, behind the 8 ball on this one. Can I use the whole "It's ok, I'm new" excuse? XD
