"Although it is not true that all conservatives are stupid people, it is true that most stupid people are conservative." John Stuart Mill
I thought Hillary did better with brown people?
I have no idea who is winning the little person vote.
He won by 7 points!!!! Yeah!!!! what's that you say? I'm misinterpreting the meaning of the word votes??? And there's only 4 delegates at stake? No, its you who misinterprets!
He got up off the mat after the pennsylvania primary! He has MOMENTUM! Holy shit here he comes with the mighty tidal wave sweeping the south pacific, which covers MORE SURFACE AREA than the rest of the continental United states! Hillary was SWEPT in the south pacific!! And quam is full of racists! he won the racist vote in GUAM! O Damn, I'm gonna have to vote for him now.
Yes that right, what's she gonna do now? He's a fighter and a WINNER!!!!! Did I mention he got up off the mat? Oh yeah and, and, and
He still has an insurmountable lead in the delegate tally. Meanwhile all hillary has is overwhelming proof of her ability to make elections close by negative campaigning.
I've got news for you, that technique would work for David Duke, Charles Manson, or any known child molester if they chose to run for president.
"I know it's me, but at least your honest when you saidyou're right I didn't laugh.Seems to be a common condition among Obama supporters. They seem to have all lost their sense of humor."
First, I don't know who you are, so why should it make any difference to me? I didn't name call Hillary, and I only didn't laugh at your post because it wasn't funny. No irony, sarcasm, nothing. I satirized Hillary's election spin and you offer me a blowjob? I don't even understand your response here, or before. Blame yourself for the retarded setup, not me for capitalizing. Who are you talking to? And now you're giving me the business, a liberal democrat who spent (wasted) the last 15 years defending Hillary and Bill from vicious right-wing attacks, about her work on "issues", not three days from her showing up on the Factor so that she and lufaguy could falafel each other publicly?
I have legitimate policy-rooted gripes about Hillary, and I have defended other Hillary supporters on this forum when I felt they were being unfairly attacked. All this bull about ObamaChrist etc. that I see you guys pushing, only suggests to me that Hillary is the one who enjoys the support of unthinking sycophants.
I don't speak for "other people on this site", and yet you seem to be having a debate with them through me. I will respond that I am confident in an Obama victory, because he has won.
Its only a question of how much damage Hillary is going to do or what position she's angling for. You can call that arrogant if it makes you feel better. I think its arrogant and presumptuous for a candidate to offer the veep slot to the person who has the insurmountable lead in delegates. I know, I know, insurmountable doesn't mean she is theoretically defeated. I theoretically could be selected as an astronaut on the next space shuttle mission, but its not probable in my view. If that's the conversation you're having there's not much to discuss.
You want to vote for Ron Paul or Ralph Nader? go ahead, they're both great Americans.
So McCain strategy is now to criticize what Bush did then promise to do exactly what Bush has done. Wow, I will look forward to much, much more of this.
Honestly, when I hear McCain I hear him saying "Bush was right about everything but he did it incompetently. Vote for me and I will do it competently." I have a Marine friend who has been saying this about Bush for a few years now.
I don't think this will work for two reasons. First, there is absolutely no reason at all to believe McCain will be more competent. Second, I am pretty sure people don't want even a competent version of Bush/McCain Republicanism.
We'll see. It will be interesting to see where the polls shift when America sees a united Democratic Party and begins to realize McCain is actually pro-war (with everyone), pro-Bushenomics and now wants to take about employer provided health care and replace it with essentially nothing. You do understand that about half of McCain's supporters don't know any of this, right?
and neither did Obama. Obama has tried to give you positive reasons for voting for him. Hillary has run her campaign against Obama supporters, instead of talking about issues. Look at your posts... all you have is four letter words and self-victimization. You have nothing but put-downs for Obama supporters, accusing them of idolatry. You're the one who uses name calling. Me, I'm voting to get out of Iraq and overthrow the DLC. Ken is right, vote for McCain if that's the one you agree with. God bless America.
Hows this for a sports analogy. Start the buses running, your candidate has lost.
but he doesn't think Hillary's going to win either. I don't see that Hubble has attempted to explain anything to me. This is my first interaction with her that I'm aware of, and it was silly town.
I understand the microtrends stuff, but I think there's something else at work this year. Once in a while major political realignments occur. The republicans have completely failed to guage the public sentiment, even after getting blown out in '06. Nominating McCain buffers them a little against the trend, but not much. For the most part they've continued campaigning and governing as if it were 2002. If they allow a couple more elections go by without public support, people's attitudes toward them are going to solidify.
If Howard Dean and Barack Obama take over the democratic party, they're going to start strategizing to compete in the south. They won't be successful at first, but it won't matter. Dean has been very open about taking the long view. Link the Hirsh article for me... I saw a couple in a quick search that I did, but I wasn't sure which one you were referring to exactly. Hillary doesn't have any vision for the party--at all. Her ascension to the presidency in a down-year would be a major victory for Rove-loving republicans like yourself.
