Hillary cheats to disenfranchise millions

Millions of Democratic voters in Michigan and Florida chose not to vote for Hillary Clinton. They crossed over. They voted 'uncommitted'. They wrote in names that remained uncounted. They voted in local elections but not the top of the ticket--because they were told that it wouldn't count.

But Hillary Clinton did what the Clintons are known best for doing:  she made a promise, broke it, lied about it. In other words, she cheated. After everything that's happened during this primary season, this is disgusting, despicable, and no surprise at all.

As both campaigns prepare to make their case for what to do about Florida and Michigan before the Rules and Bylaws Committee (RBC), I wanted to focus your attention on an issue that has gotten too little attention.

The Clinton campaign argues that if the delegates from these non-sanctioned primaries are not seated hundreds of thousand of voters in Florida and Michigan will be disenfranchised.

The other side argues that it is wrong to change the rules of the nomination process after the fact in order to advantage one candidate over another. The latter is an argument I agree with -- but there's no question it lacks the emotive impact of the disenfranchisement argument.

What doesn't get mentioned, however, is this: it was widely reported and understood in both Florida and Michigan that the results of these primaries would not be counted. And based on that knowledge, large numbers of voters in both states simply didn't participate.

If the DNC were now to turn around and decide to make these contests count after all, these non-participating voters would be disenfranchised no less than the people who did turn out would be if the DNC sticks to the rules and doesn't seat any of the delegates. The simple fact is that large numbers of people, acting on accurate knowledge and in good faith, decided that there wasn't a real primary being held in their state on the day in question and on that basis decided not to participate.

Now, the question is, How can we really know how many people didn't show up because they were told it wasn't a real election? There is of course no way to arrive at a direct answer, at least no practical one. But this post by Eric Kleefeld, which builds on a statistical analysis by Gregory P. Nini and Glenn Hurowitz, makes a very strong case that as many as one million voters in Florida and probably more than a half million voters in Michigan did not vote who otherwise would have if they had not believed that the results would not be counted. Take a look.

I dont care if she was planted or not - I ask you:

Did she lie?

They (the Democrats) did what they wanted, regardless of the voters...

Thats the bottom line - a sad day in our history...

Now, I am not a Hillary supporter (even though some of you think I am), and that ladys reaction was more on a personal emotional level, but what did she say that was wrong?

1. If it hadnt been Hillary Clinton who had annointed herself the candidate, would a freshman senator have been able to compete, (or would have had the inspiration to do so in the first place against someone with lower negatives?) - NO

2. Am I frustrated that when anyone who is white says anything about/against Obama that they are automatically assumed to be a racist? - Yes, very

3. Did the DNC Rules Committee overrule an election result (even if it was over four measly delegates or 2 votes?) - Yes, they did, and they did so openly and for all to see

4. Obama took himself off the ballot by his own admission in Michigan - I dont know how they run things in other countries, but if your name is not on the ballot because you yourself take it off, How the Hell do you expect to receive any votes? This Committee gave Obama votes that he technically did not receive!!! - So yes, I agree with this woman on that principle...

Its not that I want Hillary - I KNOW shes crooked as Hell, but the Democrats have really shown their malice toward Democracy and their total ineptness at running not only their own party, but the government in general... It was quite a spectacle to watch, and I was very disappointed that they did not stand up for the will of the voters, especially in Michigan's case...

So in short, I can see why people are angry, bias, although that woman in the video will surely be fodder to call Hillary supporters Loons and crazy racists... As I have said before - go ahead, piss the Hillary voters off more! I havent seen any step toward Unity from the Obama camp toward these crucial voters...

Thanks for your comments...

Offer her VP and promise that once Obama wins he will step down and allow Hillary to be President?  Nothing short of that seems to be good enough.

Today Hillary was handed delegates that she agreed "didn't count" she was given a significant majority of those delegates and that still isn't enough for those people.

Hillary supporters who are operating within the realm of logic, welcome.  Together I think we can change this country.  To the Hillary or Else, 2 delegate Republicans, sorry you feel that way, please use your time thinking of a way to explain to your grandchildren why they have compulsory military service instead of health care.

I was wrong.  Actually, since they are half delegates it is 2 delegates you have your panties in a bunch about.

Your going to rebel over the grand injustice of the injustice of the assigning of TWO delegates.  (Which by the way I agree that 73-55 would have been more fair.)  That's all you got.  You can't admit that your candidate didn't win so you are going to throw a fit, so that is the argument you are left with.

Forget "Reagan Democrats" I declare you, "Harriet Christian" and the like will be hereafter be known as "2 delegate Republicans".

I can't let that go dude. It was a close election, but the voters chose Obama. The only one disregarding the voters is Hillary, who is trying to get the party to overturn the will of the voters. She is openly making her case right now to do exactly that.

I want her to be my gramma, she's fuckin awesome!! Come on people she's mad as hell, cut her some slack. If I had a dime for every time I've watched my candidate go down to a lesser candidate I'd be rich. I don't think she'll vote for mcCain, but if she does vote for granpa death in the end, god bless her. No one can take that away.

I just wanted you to admit she was (really) annoying. Most of them will fall in line eventually, but I do wonder what percentage won't.

what are you getting worked up over? Bobo says this lady represents real americans? please.

Obama's campaign doesn't front this kind of shit because people can smell it for the fraudulent, bussed-in crap that it is. So Hillary wants to remind people of Florida 2000? Have at it.

You just stick to the issues and hit back hard when you need to. We'll win in the end.

You're not asking *me* that question, are you?

If so, it's a case of the false "relax you're at a 10 you need to be at a 2" alarm.

Why didn't the DNC just do this:

"Okay, guys.  Here's the way it's gonna go down.  You can hold all the early primaries you want to.  Hold 12 of them, if you want!  Knock yourselves out!  However, the only results WE WILL HONOR will be results obtained from a primary conducted on the date you are supposed to have your primary.  If you hold an early one, that's fine, but it simply won't count.  You'll have to hold another one on the correct date."
