The last piece of the puzzle

Michigan is/was the final state that John McCain would snag from the Democrats if an election was held today. McGrumpy have held on to the state for about a month now - but all things come to an end.

A new Rasmussen poll from Michigan was released today putting Barack Obama ahead of Sidney Vicious. Note that Michigan was one of the two states that voted for Hillary in the primary season, but ended up in the SNAFU that followed. Could be - and I hope it is - the Hillary supporters that are uniting behind Obama putting him in the lead there.

Barack Obama 45% John McCain 42%

Michigan has been swinging in and out through the election season, as can be told in the Talking Points Memo collection of polls being taken in that state. I do have a graph I made if you would like to see that instead.

Michigan have 17 electoral votes that put Barack up to 317 electoral votes - John McCain's 221 votes puts him pretty far away from winning the election. Is it November yet?
