Obama Sets Up Own Anti-Smear Site

Google Technorati del.icio.us digg reddit
In order to fight the Swiftboating lies, Obama has created a new site:

This in my opinion the Obama campaign has been so smart and has been correct on so many cylinders. This new site  illustrates this point in so many ways. The Obama campaign has set up a pro-active site to combat what will most certainly become a Republican smear campaign. Check it out, and if someone tells you about something false about Obama, send them to this site.

 FIGHT THE SMEARS

This is what I like to see from Democrats, something proactive, something new and different.

This is another great example of why Obama inspires so much excitement. Is he a panacea? No, and we really don't know how good he will or won't be.

But it's becoming increasingly clear that there just might be a good reason to think he could be pretty damn great in the White House.

At the very least you can tell he's learned from the past failed Democratic presidential campaigns and is running an excellent campaign.

PS---None of this matters any more though. All we need is a website that explains what we learned earlier today, that more than 85% of Americans will pay less in taxes under Obama than McCain.  Just repeat that fact over and over and over and over (and over) again, in emails, blogs and conversations.

Spread that one (true) sentence out there and be prepared to explain a little bit and share the link to the CNN article and numbers and voila, McCain has ZERO PERCENT CHANCE of winning in November.

Did anyone actually go to the site?

Talk about indoctrination and cult following - I honestly thought I was looking at a page from the Scientologists or Moonies - way creepy....

"Dont believe what you hear about me because I say its not true..."

What kind of blather is this? Do you people not have minds of your own to decide what you want to believe or not? Now you have to have a campaign website to tell you it isnt true?

Jesus you Obama followers really scare me sometimes - you feed into this and seemingly cannot see the forest for the trees - To think your kind of people might actually take control of the government!!!

Use your brains people - you dont need the candidate's lackeys to tell you how to think about the man - do something for yourself for a change!!!

Spread that word around...

The Michelle Obama "Whitey" story had to have been contrived and planted by either the Clinton people or the Obama camp. If Republicans really had the tape, they would have done everything to keep it quiet until release for maximum impact.

If it was from Clinton people, they're just so desperate that it's funny.

But there's a very good chance it was actually the Obama Campaign, planting the story to innoculate Michelle from future criticism. Man, I wish we could catch them in the act of planting the original story, and then setting up the website to do battle with against the very story they originated. Dear God, that would be priceless. It would be so much better than a tape of Michelle screeching whitey, honky, crackas, and whatever.

I didn't scroll all the way down, I literally only saw and read exactly this:

"Doesnt this scare you a bit, guys? (none / 0)

Did anyone actually go to the site?

Talk about indoctrination and cult following..."

I INSTANTLY knew it was you Bobo. Instantly without reading another word or seeing your name.

PS---Something tells me those "hard working Americans" Obama was having trouble with will shut the fuck up when they learn they'll pay LESS taxes under Obama than they would under McCain.

I had exactly the same experience.  I'd read just a few lines and knew who had written it.  I've only been wrong one time guessing like that.

But something tells me that more "hard working Americans" than we think understand already who will be best for our country.  I just wish they understood that taxes being lower or higher isn't what matters and isn't what makes their lives better or worse.  It's how the tax burden is distributed and what we do with those taxes that matters.

We must change the way the debate about taxes is framed.  We must explain to people the true nature of taxes and their effects, because they are quite different from what the top Republicans have been claiming in order to secure more power for themselves.

We know the candidate you disliked least lost. We know the scary black man won. Sad day for you.

Sad

Now get over it, and realise how good everything the Obama campaign does is working, whether you like it or not. Check the polls.

The campaign website isn't geared towards people like us who tend to be better informed AND think for ourselves.  It is for lazier folks whose minds have been weakened by listening to Faux Spews.
