Firefox 3 and The Young Turks

Google Technorati del.icio.us digg reddit

If anybody has downloaded Firefox 3 could you please post your experiences watching The Young Turks on the constant looping stream on this website?  Is it working or not working? It will help us tremendously to know how computers and browsers are reacting. Stories that it works are as important as anecdotes of how it isn't working. Please help by providing your data on this.

Thanks.

David

I'm on a pc, downloaded Firefox 3 today, and am having no problems watching TYT on the looping stream.  I did nothing special and have no special expertise either.

No problems watching the stream.

If I do stop the stream, it will randomly start up and start playing again. (no matter how many times I click the stop button) This is new since I downloaded ff3.

i have had no issues with it and my firefox 3.  i haven't tried keeping it stopped for a long time, but i have stopped it for a few minutes at times and it hasnt restarted itself for me.  that may be due to his internet connection resetting or something.

Seems to be working ok for me too.

Hi,

I run the FireFox ver 3 and will keep the TYT loop going all night while I sleep. :-) So far, it has never had any issue that I can see. I do have some problems with IE7 loop stopping after an extended period and that was one reason I switched to watching TYT in FF3.

Actually I seem to get a slightly better stream with 3 than I did with 2. With 2 I seemed to have more interruptions.

But one problem that I hoped would be resolved was not. In both versions of Firefox the window that displays the video stream cuts off the controls for volume and stop and start. It is not a big deal, just a minor inconvenience. But I am curious if others have the same problem.

Seems to be eating the feed fine. Don't know how often I'll use it - Firefox is annoying as hell, but it DOES work on my XP. In fact, this is being posted in Firefox.
