Mclellen's story -decompressing the rep spin machine

David Brooks says something to the effect of "I did not learn anything from Scott Mcllen's book" (spelling?).

I heard him say it at least twice last week, once on the Newshour and once somewhere else. I think I also heard Tony Blankly say that. If his statements are true and he knew all this stuff before then that is great. Then he knew all these misdeeds and deviousness that the Whitehouse participated in. Good. Great! However, not all the American people are so well schooled. Look how long after Bush admitted that Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11 that this trumped up misperception persisted. David Brooks uses this constuct -that there is nothing new in Mcllen's book in order to dismiss the book and to lessen its impact.

However the American people need to hear it and in as many different ways as possible and from as many people from within the neoconservative cult as from without it until they understand it, until they get it. It is the process of unspinning the last 7 years of unremitting spin. This decompression of the lies of Bush world is necessary, important, and full of purpose.

Brooks just can't help himself from trying to continue the spin.
