Yet another VP for Obama

If you like this story, digg it!

Here's my suggestion: Sen. Barbara Boxer. She has a good record on education, abortion rights, the Iraq war. She's more charismatic than HRC, could get the some "older white women" vote back (probably not that of the Harriet Christian of the world but I don't think they are that many)...

Of course the GOP would scream "SF values! SF values!" but I don't think this line works these days, except maybe in states Obama wouldn't carry anyway.

Also, a lot of people are pointing out that there needs someone with executive and/or military experience on the ticket. I.e. not a Senator. That's a reasonable argument.

Anyway. I just think they would make a great pair in the WH !

please help our new friend Posthoc and get him off of the peace pipe - that "Wacky Tabacky" can go to your head sometimes, man...

Its not the San Francisco thing (well yeah, it is kinda) - Its the "How dare you put another woman on the ticket without the name of Clinton" thing...

Obama is trying to win female voters, not piss them off more...

Thanks anyway...

our resident alcoholic likes to make fun of the damn dope smoking hippy libs.

And I don't get this whole "no other women can be VP" thing.  Why?  I honestly don't understand it.  Does she just want her name in the history books as the first woman veep?  If so, why do we all have to appease her ego?

You know how Im always ragging on the Obama minions, right?

Now imagine the 17+ million potential Hillary minions (mostly women) and their feelings when he picks a different woman to be on the ticket after she (hillary) supposedly did so much for the womens movement?

Hell hath no fury as a woman (in this case, probably 10s of millions) scorned...

Thats why, Spence...

Thanks...

Trivia for Bobo1:

Not every woman cries at movies.

Not every woman gets hysterical and needs to be slapped.

Not every woman is stupid enough to take a VP pick personally.

1. Not every Democrat is impressed with Obama (or his supporters)

2. Not every Democrat wants or craves unity

3. Not everyone accepts reality like you or I might

4. Many Democrats (especially women) are taking this nomination WAY TOO personally...

Go ahead, Obama - put Governors Selibus or Napolitano on the ticket - see what happens among the 49% of Dems who are in the Hillary branch of the party...

I dare you, Senator... Do it!

So long as you aren't hiding behind these non-numerical statistics of yours as a way of expressing disdain for any non-Hillary female VP just because you can't be bothered to examine any other possibilities.  That might be misconstrued by some as [whisper] sexist [/whisper].

This man is the greatest communicator since Barack Obama!

He will win over Hillary supporters, he will win over independents, hell he got Republicans to vote for him in Montana!

With Barack wowing middle-upper class and educated voters, Schweitzer winning over after the lower and working class blue collar types, the dems will win an overwhelming mandate in november.

Oh and lets not forget:

-Fluent in Arabic
-Has intricate knowledge of middle east history
-Passionate about energy independence, has detailed plan
-Favors diplomacy with our enemies
-Passed one of the most progressive agendas in the country in one of its reddest states, (Funded child healthcare with tobacco tax, 50% subsidies to small businesses to pay for healthcare, increased environmental protection, largest funding in state history for k-12 and higher ed)
-Approval rating in high 60's, low 70's.

Its time for a new Democratic Party!

Obama/Schweitzer 08! THE UNBEATABLE DREAM TICKET!
