so lets say Israel attackes Iran.. this would automatically drive oil prices above 200$ and barrel.. 200 a barrel translate to 7.00 a gallon..

7.00 a gallon would force us off oil. are industries are mass transit this would go a long way of making the middle east irrelevant..they could shot oil out there ass for all i care..they couldn't hole that barrel over are head anymore..( well at lease it wouldn't be dooms day anymore) ..talk about playing whit fire... dont kid ur self this would be hell..

The "unpleasant thought" isn't one country attacking another and possibly catapulting the world into world wide conflict; not the death and destruction that would result; It's how it would affect your wallet?

You're right. That IS an unpleasant thought....

I may be a little confused. If so, sorry.

you know the old saw about how an american newspaper reports the story of a major earthquake in japan: "vacationing cleveland couple unhurt in kobe disaster".

of course americans care only about their own comfort, and not about the bloodshed, suffering, or carnage that might be caused by their actions.

this is why it is so amusing to see these whiny bitches (way to go, gramm) complaining about not being able to afford the ridiculous standard of living financed by their credit card debt. maybe some prolonged suffering will teach them to become aware of the existence of a world outside their borders, and that they better stop being consumers and become citizens.
