TidalTV and Air America to offer "Turks" Online

JULY 14, 2008 (Los Angeles, California)   Following a brief six month hiatus, the first progressive radio show to air across the country is set to return July 14th, 2008 to the airwaves and in syndication on TidalTV www.tidaltv.com and Air America www.airamerica.com . "The Young Turks," hosted by Cenk Uygur, will move to its new home on XM Satellite Radio during morning drive time, airing from 8am - 10am ET on XM's America Left (XM 167). TidalTV will broadcast on tape delay, while Air America's Website will host the video live from 9pm - 11pm ET daily.

Outside of the two hour political show carried by XM, TidalTV, Air America and the Young Turks website, "The Young Turks" will also have a third hour of entertainment and pop culture programming from 11-12Midnight ET on www.theyoungturks.com. Video clips from this extra hour are also carried on AOL and You Tube.

Recent guests on "The Young Turks" include the top power-makers in the field of politics and entertainment, including: Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, Senator Edward Kennedy, President Jimmy Carter, Reverend Jesse Jackson, Senator John Kerry, NBC's Brian Williams, actor/writer/director Mel Brooks, political commentator Mary Matalin, Senator Harry Reid, Ralph Nader, Senator Howard Dean actor Bob Saget, General Wesley Clark, Ambassador Joseph Wilson, among a host of others.

"The Young Turks" launched as the first original talk show for Sirius Satellite Radio in 2002. The program was also the first ever daily, live Internet show when they went on-air on December 12, 2005.
