Picking up on an idea of Ken's, I thought I'd do a search for examples of RepubliCON courage in leading the country. The results are below.

Nope, I got nuttin'. Should have known it was a foolish search.

You had Elliot Richardson resigning as AG when Nixon ordered him to fire Archibald Cox. That was in 1973.

And didn't Gerald Ford once refer to the Committee to Re-Elect the President as "CREEP"? That was ballsy. Oh wait, he pardoned Nixon. Never mind.

What about Ron Paul going to debate after debate and repeating, no matter how many times he was insulted, that the Iraq war is wrong, American empire cannot and should not be sustained,  and that our foreign policy and militarism are destroying our economy? I'm not saying you should agree with him on everything, but give him a little credit, it took courage to stand up and do what he did. Maybe he shouldn't even call himself a Republican, but he does, so that's my nomination.

...but it sure dampens the whole snarky thing if you take it seriously.

Just sayin'.

This loser has crowned himself the champion of the constitution but has refused to support any effort to actually enforce the damn thing vis a vis Congressional oversight of the executive branch. What a charlatan.

He sure as hell did talk a big game but he has never even attempted to deliver shit.

All he does is raising outrageous amounts of money from gullible campaign donors that he doesn't bother to spend running for president.  You just know those tens of millions are getting laundered back into his pockets through "expenses".

Wow, Tim thought I was being humorless, way to not even pretend to give it a second thought. I get that you don't agree with Paul on policy but you come off just as bad as Dennis Kucinich's critics. You should crack one of your favorite local brews and contemplate if that degree of loathing another human being is healthy.
