Ah, Texas...our shining star...

From TPM Central:

This is fun: A campaign staffer for a leading GOP Senator has been busted posting fake posts on liberal blogs under an alias.

Burnt Orange Report, the premier state-level liberal blog in Texas, has discovered that commenter "Buck Smith" -- who claimed in the site's comments to be a liberal and who was critical of Texas Democrats and their candidates -- was in fact none other than David Beckwith, a top Texas Republican operative who works for GOP Sen. John Cornyn.

Rest at link

How'd he get "caught"? From Burnt Orange, "We found out his identity because Mr. Beckwith's email on file with the site is the same email listed on the webpage for his high school reunion class."

Ah, Texas, thank you for existing! You give the rest of us so much to laugh at.

How's this for chutzpah? This guy had the noive to say as "Buck Smith" that David Beckwith should get a raise!

"I personally believe Beckwith deserves a raise and/or a promotion for whatever role he had in that video, so any reasonable time period will do."

What a putz...

McCain's website shows how you get points for "spreading the word" on liberal blogs.

"Select from the numerous web, blog and news sites listed here, go there, and make your opinions supporting John McCain known. Once you’ve commented on a post, video or news story, report the details of your comment by clicking the button below. After your comments are verified, you will be awarded points through the McCain Online Action Center."

What is really funny is Markos Moulitsas' response:

"I find it hilarious that McCain's campaign thinks that some astroturf copy-and-paste comments [sound familiar turks?] would do anything more than spark some vicious mocking," says Markos Moulitsas, founder of DailyKos, which is currently highlighted as one of three "featured blogs" on McCain's site.

I do it all the time. What's really funny is when I argue with one of my aliases.

I am a KenTx sock puppet.

Or rather he is my sock puppet.  I just use him to make Republicans look foolish.

Doing a good job aren't I?

War in Iraq

War in Afghanistan

Potential war in Iran

Spiraling gas prices

Spiraling food prices

Impending inflation

Massive government corruption

Broken health care system

Alleged immigration epidemic

Living in constant threat of terror attacks

And this is what the Republicans do while at work on our dime?

Nice to see stories that confirm what you always suspected.
