Bill Richardson On Fox News "I don't know why he's whining about this."

Google Technorati del.icio.us digg reddit
I took a serious beating here yesterday when I wrote that I disagreed with the NY Times decision to not publish McCain's op-ed.

I really don't want to rehash that whole argument, but my basic point was that I felt the MSM would side with McCain and that this would reinforce the (incorrect) meme that the media is "liberally biased" and or that they all want Obama to win, etc.

But what's done is done and the decision won't be reversed.  With that in mind, I think Dems in the media need to stand up and defend the NY Times on this (rather than appearing to be weak and backing down like they usually do).  To that end I was happy to see Bill Richardson show some toughness on Fox News.

What do you think, did Richardson handle himself well here?

I think he did. Especially the "whining" line, that's totally something a Republican would normally say so the reversal is brilliant.

PS---This clip shows that Fox News really IS fair and balanced. That anchor was very moderate, reasonable and objective. ;)

Richardson hit the points right off the bat. Like anyone who has submitted any editorial he too has had rejections.

The anchor woman's (I don't even want to know her name) comment "Oh come on!" was another example of FOX opinion journalism.  She was making a judgment that the NYT was rejecting the McCain ghost-written piece only because it was attacking Obama.

FOX continues to be the Republican press agency.

It is amazingly funny how she inserts her opinion as if it were fact.

Wonderwheel, I could not agree more. The woman sat there whinning about what amounted to bias toward Obama while at the same time exhibiting a subjective, opinionated, ("aw come on") bias for McCain.  In a manner of speaking she was critisicizing herself.  I think the rethugligans are scared, very scared and are grasping at anything they can grab.  They are in a panic cause Obama is turning out to be the real thing.

According to you, Fox isn't news anyway, so technically they can't be in the tank for Obama! The reason you guys hate Fox so much is because they are the only media outlet NOT sucking off Obama's "media love juice"... Just my 2 thoughts... :)

I know I started hating Fox News about the time the 08 primaries started so clearly my contempt is directly tied to how they treat Obama.

Jackass.

You've always hated Fox - Obama or no Obama - Just admit it and move on... Knowing and admitting you have a problem is the first step in resolving the problem! :)

What in the Hell are you talking about? I didn't know that dementia was a symptom of right wing media hatred... Well, maybe I did know that... :)

I damn near had to buy a new monitor thanks to that link, ya bastid! That BITCH (yeah, I said it, and I'd say it again) was blowing McCain in absentia.

This clip ought to be circulated to every Democrat and Independent in the country with the question, "Why on earth would anybody go on FOX?"

Blowing McCain??

Oh no, I think I sent you the wrong clip!

He looked and sounded like he was coming down sick, but still did good.  God, Fox is so stupid.  Who WAS that cross-eyed bimbo?

by desertpear on 07/22/2008 05:46:27 PM EST

I think she's always on Fox and Friends? I could be wrong about that.

But come on, at the very least Fox usually has hot blondes and she's not even close.

Why don't they do what would bring more ratings?  Just have the dumb hot blondes read the news naked.

The right shits themselves when the New York Times won't bow down to their every whim but they manage to sit around and watch dumbass tricks like that for seven, eight hours a day and see no problem with it.

Its like I am trying to tell you, Tom, it doesn't matter at all what the media does, the right is going to sing the same damn song whether they cheerlead for the war or refuse to print the editorial.  So they might as well refuse to print the damn editorial.

It's not Fox I'm worried about in this case, it's the rest of the MSM.

Did anyone see the reaction of CNN and MSNBC (and print media) to the NY Times story? I haven't so I'm curious what the general consensus/spin is.

She's probably crosseyed from having so many dicks stuck up close in her face.

Cause you know those Fox News dicks are really small.  They would have to get pretty close to her nose before she could see them.

Or it could be she got smacked to hard upside the head with a falafel.
