After seeing this, I have to say, I think Chris Matthews Rocks now.  He's pretty fair and balanced, unlike some other "entertainment media" that call themselves news, and sometimes he gets flustered and humanizes himself...what's not to like about this guy?

Now, I have to admit, some of the follow up questions he throws out there could be better framed, but most of the time Chris Matthews doesn't take shit from people.  He needs to get more respect after this one.  He can mess up and not get all upset and start rejecting and denouncing people, like when he accidentally felt up Ellen.  He could have taken that in such a different way, but he rolled with it.  I salute Chris Matthews for keepin it Muthafuckin Real, and not backing down from the pugs!

No. He's NOT. He is a hack. He shows an incredible lack of understanding of the issues but does not hesitate to offer an opinion up nevertheless. He does NOT deserve any kudos - one "attaboy" doesn't wipe out the 500 "Aw Shit!"s he's piled up. The best that can be said for Matthews is: He's better than Scarborough.

By better than Scarborough I assume you mean, "at least he's never had an attractive young female staffer show up dead in his congressional office", right?

Personally, I think Mathews is a lot like Louis in Casablanca.  He blows whatever direction the wind does and currently the wind is blowing from the left.

Let's just try to remember that Tweety is not the embodiment of evil, and can even be genuinely good (meaning not just pandering to whichever side seems strongest, but making a timely adjustment in the interview to combat utter nonsense)

Glad you enjoyed it! I did like Tweety's appearance on Leno that was embedded in the story u linked... I always felt like CM has no agenda and that when he says stupid shit it's just out of ignorance or misunderstanding. Poor guy's just fascinated by this stuff (even the flat out dirty, scumbag tricks and spin), loves being on air talking about it and gets overexuberant often.

sometimes he has terrible framing, and uses republican talking points without realizing it, or calling it, he's still a good guy.  that's all i'm sayin, respect where it's due.
