TIME Story about Obama refusing to give kid fist bump NOT TRUE

Google Technorati del.icio.us digg reddit
Rachel Maddow, guest hosting on Countdown, debunks fist bump refusal story Cenk quoted in TIME.

Here's a link to Maddow taking the story down.  The kid wanted him to sign his hand.  No idea why TIME ran such a ridiculous story.  Probably shouldn't use embed code here, so here's a link.

I didn't know TIME had written a story on this, but I did see the video on Countdown - Are you honestly going to sit there and say that kid didn't want a "fist bump". Look how he is holding his arm, not passive like "here sign this". It is held up in punch/type motion wanting Obama to acknowledge it with the "fist bump". Are you really willing to swallow such a stupid lie for such a stupid thing!!! All Obama would have to have done was to touch the kids hand, and it would have been a great photo -op - but instead, he comes off as detached and his staff looks ridiculous trying to lie about it, "Sign my hand?" You've got to be fucking kidding me, man... How Stupid to lie about it!!! :)

and say, "That kid didn't want a 'fist bump'!".

Be careful Barack! They will bring in experts and say "No! His wrist was in a fist-bump pose!" You should have given him a fist bump whether he wanted one or not, because the Weasel media will say you are flip flopping on the fist-bump issue! That's how they got President Nixon; now they're doing it to you!

Keep it up!

The kid says "Can you sign my hand?", so as Rachel said, "Case closed".  Sheesh...  You get mad about EVERYTHING.  It's really amusing at this point.  Please reserve your fake indignation and excessive punctuation for issues that people give maybe a tenth of a shit about.

The kid clearly asks for Senator O'Bama's autograph. The Time reporter was on Crack, and bobo1 should calm down.

The media is trying to develop a narrative that Barak is floundering, because then they have a story, otherwise they are just reporting that he met with some kids at an elementary school (yawn).

Time should apologize.

that has just as much of a chance of happening as bobo1 apolgizing.  Keep it up, and they'll be as irrelevant as Faux News.
