Throw the Dems out
As it stands now, I will not vote for Obama. I will urge everyone I know not to vote for him. I will not vote negatively guided by fear. I am only going to vote if there is something I can vote FOR, not vote against, out of fear.
OK, I’m sorry if this is too radical for you guys, but it takes me a while to get a stance on something. I haven’t liked this Obama’s flip-flop on FISA. On the Huffington Post some like to portray this sentiment as the “far left” trying to push Obama to take an extreme position. That is pure rationalization because their minds can’t come to grips with the reality. And that reality is that I want Obama to be “radical” and stand up for his OWN position, you know, from February when he said he would not vote for a FISA bill with immunity in it. Now, if I insist that he doesn’t vote for a bill with immunity in it, I am not pushing him to some radical position, I am pushing him to the position he told me was HIS position. And positions like that helped me decide I wanted him for the candidate. I don’t mind nuance on things but this is not a ‘clarification’ of a position, this is called a ‘reversal’.
This is the same script they always follow. The Democrats run in the primary as a progressive with some common sense and demonstrate a real understanding of where we are and what has gone wrong. Then they get to the general election and the “powers that be”; somehow get them to switch and change all their positions to pander to the far right who will never vote for them anyhow. And the result has been the same – THEY LOSE!!!
If you are really strong enough, take a good, honest look. They got into power in 2006, but they aren’t doing anything. It seems their whole strategy is to never promise anything, never stand up for anything, or do anything for our benefit, but to wait and wait until the situation is so bad we will take anything. So they never have to commit to doing anything. They are the ‘default’.  ;
This time is no different. They think that the horrors of Bush and the specter of McCain taking over will SCARE us into voting for them. That is their ‘winning’ strategy. It’s not a positive, winning strategy; it’s a loser’s, weakling strategy. “I HAVE to be better than the alternative. So I won’t promise to do anything or fix anything, I’ll just let you fear what COULD happen.”
The congress won’t really do anything about the war, or the spending, or the clear and admitted high crimes (read ‘impeach’), or the politicization of the justice dept and now, it will overwhelmingly vote to GUT the 4th amendment of the constitution of the United States of America. Make no mistake, did you hear either John Dean or Jonathan Turley when they were on Olbermann? The implications of this new FISA bill are awful and sickening for the lovers of our country. But the Senate dosn’t care; they don’t have to be accountable just like Bush and Cheney feel they don’t have to be accountable. Get that? The Democrats don’t feel they have to be accountable. They think our fear will make us vote for them by default.
I say, don’t vote for them. They will NEVER be responsive to you unless you FORCE them to. They aren’t listening to you now. They don’t plan to work for you. They will do exactly what the “Democratic” congress is doing now; they will get on with their own agenda that has nothing to do with you, but only balancing their hold on power with their special interests. Your considerations are a second thought. WAKE UP, and look at it in the face. That is all they have done, they have not worked for you and your interests but for their OWN.
If you saw a movie about someone who kept letting their controlling spouse make all the decisions and have all the power, making every decision about their lives with only their own selfish interests in mind, you’d be shouting at the screen for them to leave the bum. But you don’t do it, you keep hanging on, hoping things will get better. But they never will unless you MAKE them. And that will never happen as long as you continue to give them the power. VOTE ‘EM OUT. Maybe they’ll take you seriously next time.
And this doesn’t mean “Hillary 2012”. She’s worse than Obama. It means something like Feingold in 2012, someone who stands up for something and will fight for it. Not these inspirational “talkers” who don’t know what a real issue is. I’m done with that.
As it stands now, I will not vote for Obama. I will urge everyone I know not to vote for him. I will not vote negatively guided by fear. I am only going to vote if there is something I can vote FOR, not vote against, out of fear.
