Ludacris wants to paint the White House BLACK!

If the McCain Campaign plays this issue correctly, it has legs.

Obama and Ludacris are very good buddies.

Obama loves Ludacris’ music.

Obama Is Here.
"Hillary hated on you, so that bitch is irrelevant."
"McCain don't belong in ANY chair unless he's paralyzed.
Yeah I said it cause Bush is mentally handicapped."
"The first black president is destined and it's meant to be," go the lyrics, calling on voters to "paint the White House black”.
< Double-speak or stupid | Who would you put in your McCain ad? >
 Display:
That this isn't getting more coverage on the MSM - It really is just another example of how they favor Obama so much. If a white guy singer had said something like this in support of the McCain camp, you guys would be in an uproar throwing accusations of racism and bigotry like baseballs on a sunny afternoon! But since Ludacris is black its OK because black people can call Hillary a bitch and wish McCain into paralysis without consequence. And the Obama "denouncement" of the song - what an absolute empty crock of shit - you know this song is #1 on Obamas Ipod playlist. Its such bullshit... I hope every white undecided voter knows that people like Ludacris is who Obama represents - And I hope they realize that they (as white undecideds) are at the bottom of the Obama totem pole of importance! Its OK for blacks to be racists but not whites, right guys? Such Bullshit...

There is a group of people more hated by Joe SixPack than blacks right now, and ,Ken, it's Oil Men.  The kind of people who are robbing Joe blind and McCain wants to give them even more of his money.

Look what we had to work with in 2004. Nothing. And yet, over time, John Kerry was completely dismantled by the attack machine.

It takes time, but it works. It's like one fighter wearing down another fighter in the boxing ring.

Is this the first presidential election you've ever followed? The GOP has done this to Democrats in 7 of the last 10 elections.

in 2004 you were up against a boring, horsefaced actual Democrat elitist that produced no reason to vote for him and refused to answer attacks aimed at him.  We were at war (which still had a > 50% approval rating) and your candidate was the incumbant, which almost always gets the win all by itself.

All that and Bush still just BARELY pulled it out.  This time you have none of it, unless they are willing to run on McCain = Bush and get that incumbant at war bonus.

I hope they do.

Obama didn't say it. Ludacris did. The trying to get to him through third parties is crazy.

The answer of course would be a response ad about the "jokes" that McCain himself said about Reno, Clinton, raped women, and of course that wonderful word he called his wife.

We're supposed to laugh off McCain's crap, but some rappers similar crap is supposed to bring down Obama?

Why? because they got tired of telling last weeks zinger...over and over and over and over andoverndovrvrvrzzzzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

First we were supposed to hold Obama responsible for his pastor. Then it was his neighbor. Then it was some other pastor dude that visited his church. Then it was...

Obama on the other hand has a solid campaign theme, a brand everybody likes ('sept bobo and ken) and a consistent message that John McCain keeps miraculously underscoring. I think bobo is right, this will go nowhere. Obama's rubber, ken's glue.

Is McCain a good politician? No.

Is McCain an exciting candidate? No.

Is the McCain Campaign better run than the Obama Campaign? Hell No!

Then why is McCain tied with Obama in the polls?

Because Barack H. Obama is the least qualified candidate to become president in the entire history of presidential politics. Barack Obama is the Dan Quayle of the Democrat Party.

you're welcome ken, you're so great at wacking it.

Maybe if we tie the ball to the bat you'll make contact? Let me assist. Obama is not the most unqualified candidate ever.

Abraham Lincoln was. Here's what wikipedia says about his resume prior to election:

Before his election as President, Lincoln was a lawyer, a member of the United States House of Representatives, and an unsuccessful candidate for election to the Senate.

Got that? And as to your last point, you're starting to sound desperate. When making these points there has to be a grain of truth for it to (at leas?) be funny. Must I quote Dan Quayle for you? There is no Dan Quayle in the "Demuhkret" party, comrade happy. We operate by meritocracy. Only republicans are capable of serving up a rich kid/empty suit like that.

I'll bite.

Is Obama well loved by Democrats? Yes. Even by young people who have never been interested in politics.

Is Obama a good politician? Most definitely yes.  He seems shrewd enough to me.

Is Obama an exciting candidate? Of coooouuurssse! The first brown person to get this close to office--I'm all for it even if I am a whitey.

Is the Obama campaign better run than the McCain campaign?  Fuck yeah!  No argument.

Then why is Obama leading in the polls? For all of the above reasons!

Because this nerdy half black Kenyan-Kansan-Hawaiian is going to win!

Portland Oregon loves Obama

Conservative French love Obama

Obama loves America and is a citizen of the world (go ahead and make fun, but it is an advantage)

An uncontroversially historic moment in Berlin, whether you are a supporter or not.  Beat that with a stick McCain!  With your weenie town hall meetings.  Shit, I could hold town hall meetings better than McCain.  But Ken knows how stupid Americans can be.

You are 100% correct.

I have absolutely no idea where the polls will stand 90 days from now, but if the race looks this close, McCain will win. Democrats cannot overcome three inherent disadvantages: 1. Bradley Effect 2. Unreliable young voters 3. Electoral College Disadvantage

If Obama captures 50% of the nationwide popular vote, while winning 70% of the popular vote in CA, NY, IL, then you guys are S-C-R-E-W-E-D, electorally speaking. It means you blew your wad in three big states, and you will lose close contests in the battleground states. Remember what happened in 2000 and 2004?

What Tim is trying to say is that the election must be a blowout in order for Obama to win. He can't win a 50/50 election because of the electoral college.
obama is slipping!!!!!

No, I am saying that Obama will take the majority of the popular votes - and their electorial counterparts - in 48 states. Be a man. You will survive. The way I see it, if the rethugs steal another election and elect McCain, I'll be fine.  After all, I have survived nearly eight years of the most corrupt regime in American history, & witnessed near demise of a once perfectly good democracy.  Whomever wins I'll just say fuck it and move on.

If Democrats lose in 2008 (and it could happen), then what? You guys tell me. How will the Democrat Party deal with a loss? That's the fear I'm talking about.

1) Notice McCain is still staying in his 40-44% zone he has been in the whole time.   What is changing is Obama is hitting the low end of his 44-49% zone.  Guess that is what happens when the campaign becomes all about attack ads on the frontrunner.  It will be interesting to see if McCain can break his ceiling of 44% or push Obama through his 44% floor.

2) Whatever is causing this does not appear to be the drilling issue.  Yesterday Gallup put out a poll asking who Americans trust more to deal with the energy crisis.  50-39 Obama.  Suggests maybe the DRILL!!!! strategy is a bit overblown.  Maybe not but the poll covered the period immediately after McCain made it his only issue.

3) I am wondering if McCain isn't squandering his greatest asset to close the gap in August, which seems kind of stupid.  McCain is unique among Republicans because he has his own brand, seperate from the party.  The party's brand is now complete shit, but McCain has been able to avoid that particular Hindenberg.

Lately the media seems to be calling him to account for lying about Obama and using Bush's sleazy campaign staff.  If he loses his honesty tag and if Obama can paint his campaign as 2004 redux, doesn't he risk falling off his perch and becoming just another Republican?

There is an old theory about negative ads: They work! for a little while.  There is some chance that McCain is spending his best (and only) political asset, his credibility, to stay in the race a month before the convention.  There is also some chance McCain is going to get rope-a-doped here (accidentally, of course, the Dems really couldn't figure out to do that shit on purpose).

No Kentex. You are too invested in the debate. The fear is not that something bad will happen to the country.  Your fear is that if Obama is elected he will do well and heal the country from the ravages of the past eight years.  You fear your opinion and ideology will be proven wrong.  There is a "distorted thinking style" in the cognitive theory that research has labeled "being right".  The pitfall of this distortion is that the individual engaging in it is not interested in the truth or the facts, only in defending their perspective.  This leads to frustration, unhappiness and anger that is sometimes turned inward.  People lash out at others and can not maintain healthy relationships with those around them.  I hope you will be fine with defeat if your preference loses.  Remember "People are not disturbed by things or events but by the views of which they take of them" Epititus 1 a.d.

Hmm, it is a good start, but clearly Ludacris is going to have to put more thought into this plan. The Kennedys turned it into the Green House (they actually put a slight green tint into the paint to make it glow in the dark) but I'm sure the GOA will have to look into oil based vs acrylic and decide on mat black, flat black, shiny black.

Obviously the flags striped will be black and red. Personally I'm in favor of replacing Lincoln's Memorial with a statue of the Jackal headed Egyptian God Anubis. But I'm really excited about replacing Washington's Memorial with an African obelisk.
