Just watched Ana and Cenk talk about Elizabeth Tailor. Didn't have any problems with anything they said until Cenk mentioned his lack of respect for the mariatal behaviour that Liz and Larry King adhere to. What's so deplorable about getting married and divorced multiple times?
The way I look at it, there are some who look for a partner for life and others who don't, that much is obvious and to each his own, right? We see this all around us, persons who either aren't looking for a serious, long-time relationship or enter serious relationships but still feel the need to keep looking.
Now, and this is just my personal speculation so bear with me, the difference as I see it with these elders compared to the youngsters who hop in and out of relationships all the time is that way back in the day, when the old guys/girls grew up, there was this taboo about living and having a relationship with someone and not being married, and the mindset you grew up with is infinately hard to break, change or even acknowledge yourself. Perhaps it's as simple as that, that the lifestyle of getting in and out of relationships is the same for Liz Tailor as it is for any young woman, only that the difference between them is that Liz has the mindset that if you're going to live with someone you love, you need to marry them, and that's why she kept getting into all those short-time marriages.
Does this make any sense at all?
