The Obama Fan Club

Google Technorati del.icio.us digg reddit
John McCain has reached a new low, on the internet. I thought his web site was a joke because first of all, the old man hasn't even been on the internet and then the first thing that you see is an Obama fan club ad, you could even join his fan club on McCains website. this is what the ad said: The Obama Fan Club
        Membership benefits:
               Higher taxes,
               Leaeder with limited experiance,
               Leader has dreamy eyes!!!

Really John McCain, you have stooped to a new low. I honestly dont think that he is serious about the campain if goes on to insult his opponets like this. What ever happened to runnig the honest campain he promised during the primaries. But i think the worst part is his campain motto; reform, prosperity, peace. Reform: John McCain's policies are almost identicle to Bush's. Peace: invading Iran and North Korea and staying in Iraq for 100 years arn't exacly peaceful policies. Prosperity: Almost every bill that McCain has endorsed on the economy has beifited the wealthy and major corporations. Is politics dirty or what?

That may be, but the lure of "fist bumps" will soon prove irresistable.

Thanks for making my night, you really cracked me up!

This is so openly and obviously absurd, so I'll just make 2 quick points.

1. 90% of Americans will pay LESS taxes under Obama's proposed tax plan compared to McCain's. Are you part of that 10%? I doubt it, so why vote for that tax and spend conservative McCain?

2. Give us ONE example of how William Ayers or Jeremiah Wright have influenced Obama's positions and policy proposals. Just one. Is it his tax policy? His position on oil and drilling? Health Care?

We're waiting.

Looks canned and cut and pasted.

Well that changes everything.

But if you're a "conservative", then you should applaud Clinton. Why?

Government grew the least under Clinton compared to growth under Regan, Bush Sr and Bush Jr.

And of course he's the only recent president to finish with a large surplus as opposed to a massive deficit.  Reagan tripled the national debt borrowing more money than all presidents before him, from George Washington to Jimmy Carter, combined.

Our current Bush has now borrowed more money than him, which is partly why the dollar has lost about 40% of it's value since 2000.

by ihavenobias on 08/13/2008 12:01:08 AM EST

Can you take this cut and paste stereotype through some sort of "Troll Boot Camp".  He's coma inducing.

I guess he figures he is bringing up cutting edge information with a blistering, highly entertaining style but he just sounds like Ben Stein in Ferris Bueller.

While you are at it go ahead and give him links to the various threads that have been beat to death.  Lew Ayers!

Kang, did you go back and get this guy from January or something?

And Kozlo, before you go getting all whiny and outraged like conservatives always do when someone disagrees with them, I got no problem with your politics (although I disagree) but the delivery needs a lot of work.

Either try to come up with new info, a new angle or a shtick.

For examples of shticks see bobo (angry, fact-hating drunken clown) or acroso (semi-literate, inadvertently self-mocking hate monger)

This guy sounds like a TV commercial. Either he is he is trying to be funny here or incredibly new at this. Or maybe he is some new spam bot pulling random talking point lines from a data base located at McCain's HQ. I honestly don't know yet so I wouldn't get too exited about getting a raise in the "right winger" pecking order.

I have yet to see you "discuss" anything you've posted. Just a tip... there aren't any Faux News viewers here so simply making statements without addressing the rebuttals isn't going to get you anywhere.

My God, I actually miss Ken, at least he has the self-respect to engage in conversation, even if it's often limited.

As far as your comment earlier that slipped in Obama being a "terrorist-lover" , at least he's not an anti-American coward willing to surrender anything and everything about America that makes us great. If Samuel Adams was alive, he'd tar and feather the lot of you. And Jefferson would advocate rebellion.

I like how you establish that a massive tax increase increased revenue and put the government in the black, therefore destroying your own first post about how we must have tax cuts to fix the economy.

The rest of this is just a very, very strange way to view the last seven years which seems to mostly involve ignoring the first six of them.

Seriously dude, if you want to troll, hop on over to the Stephanie Miller or Lionel boards and work on your chops.  Get a little double and triple A work in before jumping straight to the majors.

TYT is turning into "The Young Trolls".  I'm getting a little sick of this site again.  I disappeared a couple of years ago for the exact same reason.  I keep coming back because there are actual intelligent people that say great things that make me think (Fred, Rich, Tim, ihave...), but I think I've really had enough, once and for all, of these idiots who do nothing but disrupt intelligent conversation with drivel and bullshit.  You can have an opposing opinion, but be smart about it.  I see nothing smart about any of these jerkoffs.

I guess it's a consequence of the environment.  I have no pateicne for it in the real world, so I have even less in the virtual world.  Screw you, trolls.

Let them win?  Really?  Win what?  Whether or not I'm posting on this website they will not change my mind about this country and where I believe it should be headed.  That's the point.  They add NOTHING to the dialogue.  Their responses prove it over and over again.  I don't even want to post here anymore because of the insane responses you get from these assholes.

Saying that they can possibly win anything is like saying the kid who keeps saying "I'm rubber, you're glue..." always wins an argument - even if he says the famous caveat "except the good stuff!"  This is just purely inane BS.  They're not taking the issues facing our country seriously and they are abusing those who do by being ignorant dumbasses.  Their voting privileges should be revoked just for being stupid (along with their driver's licenses).

Yeah, I know Tim will defend their right to free speech.  I get it.  And I know no one should legislate what should or should not be said on this site.  I get that, too.  But just like the parent who is concerned there's too much sex and violence on the TV, I can opt to change the channel.  I'm ready to get the clicker because there are 40 minutes of douche commercials in this 60 minute show.

Just my 2 cents...Bye for now.

I understand what you're saying, really I do. When I first came to the TYT forums I felt the same way honestly (that a few people were constantly pissing in the punch and ruining the party).

But if the people who have something interesting/intelligent to offer drop out, it creates a self-fulfilling prophecy, and eventually the punch will be ALL piss, and we shouldn't let that happen.

I sort of agree with TJD. I've kind of been soured on Web message boards in general for the reasons stated - this one's par for the course, and even the ones that are not geared toward contentious topics like politics, such as work related forums, tend to get swamped by alpha dogs and know-it-alls. (I'm not even talking about the trolls, who always win, and are well-fed.) Not that these people aren't sometimes interesting or informative, but it just discourages participation for so many others.

Myself, I'm like Mr. Ed - I never speak unless I have something to say (usually a wisecrack). I'm not proud of it either.

(PS: When I say "these people", of course I don't mean you, dear reader.)

In fact, I feel bad just putting this up on the site because it's worthless crap.  It won't change anything...

He's been posting in this forum for three years. He likes trolls, because he likes to complain. That's why he keeps coming back.

Other than that, I think Ken has told the first truthful thing ever on this website.  It gives me hope.  In fact, so much hope that I had to respond.

But, also, let's be clear...I think there is a difference between you and these other idiots.  You're a different kind of idiot.  This new breed of trolls are vomiting up the same old shit that we've covered over and over.  It's like they read the playbook from 2002, just discovering the internet and deciding to post.  It's weak and a waste of time.

You're my favorite troll, Ken.  I like you much better than Dr. Oz, Asscroso and the new idiot Kozlo - combined.

Finally you got the boring talking points out of your system long enough to blame the malfeasance of Bush and his conservative republican congress on the democratic congress. The irony of calling these republicans "liberal" is almost too much. So, what, you're going to vote for more of'em? You kill me dude! By the way using "Democrat" instead of "Democratic" makes you look like an ass. You're either ignorant or rude.

This business of calling the current republicans is a new one. Most conservatives I talk to these days won't admit to being republican, they either say they've had an epiphany and turned to libertarianism or that they're not voting because neither party has america's interests at heart.

How convenient. And all this talk about "liberal" republicans now overspending. Excuse me? Wasn't it Grover Norquist that said the agenda was to overspend until we had no choice but to cut entitlements? Does this quote sound familiar:

"My goal is to cut government in half in twenty-five years," he says, "to get it down to the size where we can drown it in the bathtub."?

The conservative republicans got exactly what they wanted. We are living the conservative agenda. What's wrong, aren't you happy with it?

The whole laundry list of talking points. Some aren't even current. Nothing that is even interesting.

Let me show you how this works.

You want to talk about flip flopper's?

" Oh, by the way, I believe we should stay in Iraq until our mission is complete.  I support McCain on this position."

Not really up to him. Now is it? The word is that you are not supposed to mention that one anymore because Al Maliki is thinking about throwing us out anyway. Didn't you get the memo?

Tell you what. Turn off Sean, go read something and come with some facts. Even Ken's you tube links are better then this.

by z1p101 on 08/13/2008 01:35:44 AM EST

Read this:

"You know as a Conservative Republican, I wished that we put foward a better candidate that John McCain.  But, it is what it is.  I, like Sean Hannity, have disagreements with McCain, but McCain would be much better than the naive, inexperienced, lover of terrorists, Barack Hussein Obama.  People, wake up!  Obama would bring this country back to the days of that Jimmy Carter.  And, who would want that?  Not me!"

Do I have to show you what a good liberal sock puppet would sound like? Maybe later.   &nb sp;

Why don't you start by looking back over some old threads.

One thing you will see is that pretty much everything you have said has been dealt with and dispatched here already.

The second you will find is that no one here is going to back down from a fight over politics with you.  Just try bringing up something relevant that we haven't already posted on 1,000 times each.

As for what I want to debate?  What I want to debate is why conservatives are protecting the contractors in Iraq, claiming they are beholden to no laws (Iraqi, US or international)  and therefore insisting they have the legal right to brutally rape and often kill American women (including U.S. soldiers).

I contend that contractors should be held to legal standards and their should be investigations of the serious rape charges.

I contend further that there should be a Truman Commission to investigate war profiteering and fraud (like the KBR wiring they have been paid tens of millions of dollars for that is killing an average of two soldiers a month in accidental electrocution) and those found guilty should be held accountable to the furthest extent of the law.

The Republicans are adamantly against any of this.

You're up.

I await your response.

by ProfRich on 08/13/2008 09:58:46 AM EST

Lets see:

FISA-unfortunate and regretful but it was a trap so I get it.

Iraq- no such flip flop exists.  In fact, Bush flip-flopped to Obama's position.  Proud of Obama's Iraq stance.

Flag pin- not an actual issue so don't care.

Drilling- We'll see how this plays out.

What do you think about McCain's flip-flops on:

Bush Tax Cuts, Torture (against his own bill), Campaign Finance (i.e. violating his own reform bill), Iraq, Iraq again, Iran and Diplomacy, Tire Gauges, Insurance Companies and Birth Control, Immigration (again, against his own bill), Dirty Campaigning, Supporting Bush, Supporting Rove, MLK Day, corruption, Environmentalism, which woman he loved and being an honest person in general.

What did I forget, guys?

Look, Kozlo, Sean may be dreamy and all but he is an idiot and, whatsmore, he is lying to you.  I have never seen a politician who has changed his stance more out of political convenience than John McCain.

by ProfRich on 08/13/2008 10:08:09 AM EST

Bush's policies have already pushed the economy into recession and 4 more years of his failed administration will destroy it beyond the point of repair.
