Obama has his own Rice, Susan Rice (not related to Condi, but also Afr. Am.), she's an Obama Campaign Senior Foreign Policy Advisor.

Susan Rice says Obama is in favor of pushing for NATO membership for Georgia and that European allies in April didn't want it at that time because of the damaged relationships because of Iraq, ... WRONG

Do Paris and Berlin see Iraq and most other Bush foreign policies as wrong: YES.
BUT France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Luxemburg, Belgium and Hungary didn't shoot down Bush's plan for NATO membership for Ukraine and Georgia because of this. They shot it down because, unlike Bushco and apparently Susan Rice and Obama, they knew that those countries have border disputes and break away provinces that would drag NATO into wars, possibly with Russia.
As long as these countries don't get their internal affairs in order, they are a sure fire way of dragging NATO into wars and let's not kid around Russia vs NATO would be WWIII.

What's up with these people trying to drag Europe into wars?

I guess they think they can succeed where Napoleon and Hitler failed: beating Russia on their own turf.
Russians burned their lands to stop Napoleon, Russians sacrificed 13% of their population to beat the Germans, 1 in 3 WWII casualties was Russian!!! Of the 60 million Allied casualties, 26 million were Russian.
But yeah let's get into an armed conflict with a former superpower that's flush with money and is willing to loose vast amounts of people.
