In his effort to bring up his former POW status in any and all conversations, he even brings it up when talking about his musical taste. (reminds me of the story about mixing up which football team line-up he recited to the Vietnamese, that story is sounding more and more made up by the day)

John McCain in defense of picking ABBA's Dancing Queen as his favorite song:
"A lot of taste in music stopped about the time I inpacked a surface to air missile with my own airplane and never caught up again"

funny yes, but once more McCain's timeline doesn't agree with reality: he was in Vietnam from '67 to '73, Dancing Queen didn't get produced until 1975

WE got it McCain you got tortured and now... you are in favor of torture, everything to get elected I suppose :) Look McCain believes in one thing: getting McCain elected president.
Why then isn't he using his adopted Bangladeshi kid with a Mother Teresa connection, brought home by Cindy, to his advantage you aks: my guess... it'll cost him votes with his base if he shows off a dark skinned kid, remember they still think it's his illegitimate black child.

This makes me respect Wesley Clark even more, he didn't misuse his military record like this, he never even brought up the heroic incident in the Balkans that left him wounded

Callisto, the difference between McCain and Clark is simple. Clark is a real hero, and is much a man.  McCain is a pampered spoiled military brat that got an airplane of his own in the Navy because his daddy was an Admiral.  Not to detract from his suffering as a POW.  Hell, if I had been captured by the Viet Cong Or NVA, don't you think the same thing would occur?  Would that make me a hero?  It would make one an unfortunate soldier serving his country that got his ass in one hellofa pickle.  Hero...... not really.  Brave.... maybe.  Scared shitless at the time..... absolutely. Buggered by the guards..... nope not.

And I am telling you, the ABBA was what the young women he was banging behind his crippled wife's back were listening to.

Read his Wiki, during the mid-70s he was trolling around fucking a bunch of young chicks who were into old dudes with dinosaur arms.  Its pretty clear.

Of course, Sean did explain that if you suffer a traumatic event you do get to be excluded from even the lowest standards of basic human morality while simultaneously being qualified to hold more responsibility than anyone on the planet.

Provided you will cut his taxes, of course.

Oh, please excuse me for leaving out W.  His daddy got him a jet too.  W just so happen to jump past several hundred other much more qualified applicants that could  read and write to protect the skys of Texas and Alabama in the National Guard. Whoops, forgot.... he didn't show for that many missions in Alabama.  Come to think of it, when he was transferred to the Mass. unit he forgot to show there too.  Maybe it was the damage from the alcohol and cocaine. Those substances can cause memory impairment you know.  Well... to be more precise, alot of his records are convieniently not available anymore.   Except  maybe some of the legal records.

Wonder if the jailers abused W when he was arrested for DUI with his frontal lobe packed full of cocaine.  Did being locked up for a few hours qualify him to be President? Wait a second, I think daddy got him outta that too.  You see, in RETHUGLIGAN circles, its who you know and who you blow.  "Thank God for George Bush"?  W has nearly buried this country. Alot of people sure have (been  buried) thanks to his lies and having the judgment of a gnat and the intellect of a slug.  He is the poster boy for the Rethuglican party.  A party that can only steal elections not win them.  McCain = more of the same.
