I wish she was taking Gregory's spot. Abrams offers a slightly different perspective coming from the legal world, although at times his research was sketchy. His work on the AG9 and Siegelman stories was exemplary.

Gregory, OTOH, has shown himself to be Just Another Bobblehead, willing to be spoon fed Right Wing claptrap without a questioning glance. His man crush on McCain is obvious and sickening. Wouldn't mind David Shuster taking over that show - he at least seems to have more than just a Washington Beltway grasp of events.

Thanks for the heads up!

he takes over in Gregory's slot when they ship him over to Meet the Press.  I think Abrams has a pretty high position on the MSNBC team (General Manager, it sounds high anyway), so I don't think they'd just fire him outright.

I've come to really like Abrams and I think he is pretty damn fair.

Gregory is the one that should've been kicked out of the line-up, no question.

great for Rachel, but she should take Gregory's place, I like Abrams, he's gives a fun aspect to the Hardball-Countdown-Verdict line-up

not to say Olbermann can't be hilarious, love the Keithster

...that if this is the direction that MSNBC is going, I'm sure Dan Abrams will still have a place there. I doubt that this is the last we've seen of him.

Maybe I'm alone in that, but I think for the most part he's a good newsman and I liked his legal take on things.

Maybe I'll start watching some network tv again.

She still going to do the radio show?

She said in The Nation awhile back something like "If Oreilly and Hannity can do it, why can't I?"  And thank god for that.  Maddow and Hartmann are the only two listenable hosts on AAR (except on the website of course).
