Cenk should be happy with Obama's new ad

Cenk's ranted last night about not being personal enough

After Cenk's rant last night about Obama not hitting McCain where it hurts, personally, he should be pleased with a new ad Obama's put out.

http://www.youtube.com/watc h?v=vpmFd25tRqo&eurl=ht tp://www.huffingtonpost.com /2008/08/21/obama-tears-int o-mccain-f_n_120359.html

It nails McCain for saying that the economy is pretty slick, thus being out of touch. He drives the point home by putting the quote McCain made about not being sure how many houses he owns (it's 7!) in it.

Its personal and, I gotta say, I love it!

actually an old one. I hate it when people write a blog premised on giving Cenk advice on his opinions. If you have something to say on a topic write a blog with your links and give us your opinion.

I'm not just picking on you. Lately it seems we get 2-3 of these every day. They're like mosquito bites: they itch and burn but I always try not to scratch and hope they'll go away, but somehow they keep coming.

Bottom line, keep Cenk out of your title unless you have a reeeeeaaal good reason to put him there.

You made me feel bad on their behalf.

What do you mean by that?  The ad itself is from today

I see what you meant

  Nobody wants your advice either

This new ad kicks ass!

I still want to see an Obama ad where he points out where McCain is LYING (not just stupid) with the tag of

"We can't afford another 4 years of Republican lies"

by blueheartinaredstate on 08/21/2008 01:52:41 PM EST

I'd also like to see a series of ads that like is a mini chronicaling of the heinous things done by a Republican (Cheney, Bush, Rummy, McCain, etc..) with the add ending with "Can we afford to have more of the same?" or something along those lines

Also, I've been thinking today about all of the unforced errors and stupid/incompetent mistakes McCain keeps making, and here's an ad idea: run a variety of McCain's "gaffes," confused statements, and downright made-up stuff.  Then at the end, have something to the effect of this:

"John McCain.  Is he ready to run a presidential campaign?"

If you can't keep your own $hit straight, how can you lead?

John McCain said the other day he'd never been on a ciomputer

Never been on a computer? What is he, Amish?

John McCain can't even run a computer. Can we afford to let him try to run a country?

Start with audio saying:

In 2000 America fell in love with a straight talking maverick Washington celebrity.

Image: Shot of McCain and Bush debating in 2000.

Eight years is a long time.

Run 55 seconds of McCain saying stupid shit and lying.

100 years, Bomb Bomb Bomb Iran, I voted with Bush 90% of the time, I don't know how many houses I have, 8 seconds of silence followed by "I don't pay attention to the bills I vote on", etc.

Get to know John McCain all over again.

The same number of houses that John Kerry owns. BIG. FUCKING. DEAL.

by KenTX on 08/21/2008 03:36:54 PM EST

John Kerry wasn't an elitist then?

by Spencer on 08/21/2008 03:40:47 PM EST

So now there are TWO decorated war veterans who are rich, snobby, out of touch elitists (according to the 2004 logic).

And since Kerry's service and rich wife werebrutalized in 04 by the right, it seems like McCain deserves equal treatment now.

but I don't want to be in the same company as this america hater

note the bandaid.

Can you imagine what the reaction would be from the right, and more importantly, from the mainstream media?

There would be no MSM left, their heads would explode! There would be 24 hour wall to wall coverage of how the un-American Democrats were trying to bash a decorated war hero.

But when it was done to Kerry in 04, crickets chirped. Forget the swift-boaters, the fake purple hearts in the audience at the (R) convention was one of the most blatant and insane smears ever in moder history, and the MSM was incredibly quiet about it relatively speaking.

but we really dicked ourselves when we became above it.  Honestly, we should all be above it (Republicans included), but we've created this catch 22 where we look sleazy if we smear them and weak if we don't.

How many does he own?  It seems even John McCain doesn't know.

by Spencer on 08/21/2008 04:47:08 PM EST

Then you won't mind if us and the media talk about it nonstop for the next three months, do you?

I think its a bigger deal that he has too many for him to count.  I mean I knew he was pretty stupid, but wow!

dont know about that. Rezko was a notorious fund-raiser though, who expected favours for his services.

I do rememeber that what Obama actually bought was a little land to increase his garden or something. Oh and he paid more than what the land was worth, not less. Of course that seemed suspect aswell.

by whoosh on 08/21/2008 07:57:34 PM EST

It's Kozlo and he's not about to have an actual debate with you.
