Sheehan Reports Possible Phone Bugging at DNC

The peace activist Cindy Sheehan may have been put under surveillance here in Denver. In an email to supporters, Sheehan reports she returned to her hotel room to find a man taking apart her phone with a screwdriver. Sheehan says she was told the hotel was having problems with its phones..

Cindy Sheehan was surprised? Clueless too. Did she look for a surveillance camera?

There are two ways to approach this kind of bugging. You can talk with the assumption that the spies are watching, listening, spying. Talk to them on the phone. With friends and colleagues, use key words and code. Ham it up for that spy cam behind the mirror in your hotel room. Assume that it also uses infrared.

Get a web site. Start a blog. Put yourself on streamed video 24/7 with your notebook's camera, PDA camera, mobile phone camera. Be public. Then nothing is a surprise.

Surprise them. Buy a pay-as-you-go GSM phone that doesn't have to be registered. Use that. Make sure the people you plan to talk to do the same. Get anonymous email with a cryptic name--Cindy could use sh33h6n@whateverrrrrrrr.tv- -to send SMS mostly anonymously. By the time the Repubs, uh, spies, figure out who's using the phone, you can toss the SIM and get another one. Works for Al Qaeda, why not you?

Cindy Sheehan is too naive that she surprised at her phone being bugged. Don't vote for her. She's clueless.

What I understand zenie to be saying is that the fact our government is spying on us isn't a cause for outrage or concern, we should all just start living like terrorists.
