When did Tom Brokaw become such a tool? If you have been touring the blogosphere you know that the rightwing losers have been trying to make a big deal of the fact that Barak Obama is going to speak in front of a backdrop that contains greek looking collumns. It amazes me the things that the looney right will find to make controversial. Seriously, can these guys not remember Bush's speech in 2004? Have they not at least seen pictures of Washington DC?
This has to be one of the dumbest attacks the Rovians have put forth. Yet there was Tom Brokaw going on for 10 minutes about how the repuglican's are going to be able to exploit the collums and the skycam shot of the stage as being imperialistic and as proof of Barack's self-aggrandizement. Even as Chuck Todd noted that the sky cam was the idea of CNN, he sat agreeing with Brokaw that it was actually bad for the Democrats. What?
Finally, Keith Olberman seemed to have enough and broke into their weird discussion, and asked them what the hell they were talking about, and Brokaw basically acknowledged that he was just repeating what he was hearing from his repug sources.
John McCain cannot get 10,000 people to come to his announcement tomorrow, despite it being in the heart of areas that are supposed to be his base, but we are supposed to think that Obama's ability to fill a stadium is a weakness.
What has our media become?
