Hitler, Rove & the Big Lie: prosecute Rove, Bush, McCain and Palin First Amendment violations

Why hasn't Karl Rove not been, or cannot be, prosecuted under some criminal charge(s) for the "Big Lie" progaganda tool that Hitler set forth in his Mein Kampf which I studied in the original German.

Karl Rove, the politically very intelligent speech writer and consultant who perverts his intelligence for thirty years by selling America down the river and his soul for Republican blood money.

Why hasn't Karl Rove not been or cannot be prosecuted under some criminal charge(s) for the "Big Lie" progaganda tool that Hitler set forth in his Mein Kampf which I studied in the original German.

I believe in the first amendment that establishes as a basic right in any democracy, which enshrined for the first time in history in the first amendment, Right of Free Speech in that magnificent document, the American Bill of Rights, an addendum to the even greater Constitution of the United States. But there are limitations to that right when it is used for inciting hate, for which culture wars are examples. I simply cannot believe no one has, to my knowledge, picked up on this, much less actually done it. Throw in Bush, McCain and Palin too as defendents.

but you do realize that they have committed INTERNATIONAL war crimes...breaking the first amendment is the last thing we need to be prosecuting them for.  Unfortunately, they won't be prosecuted in America, because we don't like to hold leaders accountable unless they are democrats.  I have to say, the reason that nobody is going after them for propaganda is because the propaganda has become the least of their crimes.

Trust me, I've sent plenty of well-informed, non-expletive laden letters to Reid, Pelosi, Wexler, Dodd, Bayh, Lugar, Bush, etc...and I'm sure I'm not the only one.  I'm not apathetic by any means, but our senate is impotent with people like LIEberman and Reid in there.  Keep dreamin...

just more proof that god doesn't answer prayers ;)

Karl Rove hasn't incited anyone to violence that I'm aware of, and his list of alleged civil crimes is long enough that we should work on those first. I disagree with the entire premise because it runs counter to the spirit of the first amendment and the vision that the forefathers had of our country. Yes, Hitler and Karl Rove are free to peddle their wares in the marketplace of ideas. It is the free press that must set the price for the Big Lie.

No one knows yet where Valerie Plame's collegues are, her contacts in the field; dreaming up a plan that has killed a hundred thousand or more; asking other countries to hold Americans and Canadians for years before they are let go;  only after torture - not that they had anything to reveal, but to scare the hell out of Americans, and instill that war is necessary.

The "Cold War" took many, many lives, and we knew who wanted to "bury" us.  But, we didn't start attacking other countries and its people because of the "terror" known as the Cold War.

I don't know under what sub-title, sub-chapter Karl can be prosecuted, but he did incite violence.

But, I too agree that prosecuting people who excerise their rights under the 1st is not what we want.  We want to always enjoy it, however difficult it may be lately.

however, as Chris stated above (he beat me to the punch!) Karl Rove has been alleged to have committed very serious crimes and civil infractions for which the probability of a conviction is higher. The Plame thing I'm afraid, you'll have to let go, because as I understand it, he will ever be held accountable for betraying his country in that affair.

As for your general point about inciting violence, I consider an imam who instructs people to wear suicide belts an inciter of violence. Karl Rove is merely guilty of lying on behalf of others to seize power. While reprehensible, it is also sadly permissible. It is the responsibility of the opposition and the press to expose him. That is why I am equally angry with democrats for enabling the lies.

I hear you clearly and agree.  Thanks

Thanks for your input.  nb I said domestic/US incitement to hate/hatred not violence.
OK, if Rove & Co. cannot be prosecuted on this, and he has done far worse crimes, than why has he not been prosecuted on any other charges?  Rumsfield well and truly should be prosecuted and imprisoned.  Rumsfield has needlessly caused the death of many tens of thousands of lives through his arrogance in steamrollering everyone, civilian and military alike, not just into starting this war but by taking personal charge of the war.  His lack of an effective post-war plan, including the woefully inadequate number of troops to control even the looting, really no plan at all, is a war crime, in my opinion.
