OBAMA TAKES LEAD IN INDIANA!

All historical references should now be thrown out.  Obama is about to win Indiana in this election.  He's been running ads in between Seinfeld and Simpsons.  He knows Hoosiers, and Hoosiers know he's going to at least TRY to reopen the Ford plant that got shut down here.

I  had noticed that Obama had been running a shitload of ads here, and McCain hadn't run hardly any.  It's seriously been 6/1 Obama ads to McCain ads.  This trend will continue to unfold across other "Red States" if the media covers this correctly.  I have talked to a lot of self-titled "fucking rednecks" and they call the republicans stupid now.  The people that the republicans took advantage of for so long through the exploitation of their religious beliefs have finally realized that they were being used, and that most Republican leaders don't act Christian.

Working Class America has woken up.

Sorry, hate to be the naysayer, but Obama doesnt win Indiana - way too many rednecks and farmers in the rural areas to compensate for the declining urban populations...

He might be up now, but Indiana stays red in Novemeber...

Try Colorado - y'all have a much better shot there...

I live in a little redneck town in Indiana myself, (called Elwood, I imagine Chris is familiar with this town's reputation) and I have seen several Obama signs and no McCain signs as of yet.

I don't think I would bet on a blue Indiana, but it is well within the realm of possibility.

The racist vote won't turn out.  They're not motivated enough.  In fact, the KKK wants Obama to win, because they think it will increase their enrollment.  If you haven't forgotten, Evan Bayh is a Democrat.  Obama is carrying the WHOLE state right now, and he has insanely organized teams in the the largest cities in the state.  The definition of "likely" voter has nothing to do with whether they've voted before, it's "how motivated are they to vote?"  All of the Hoosiers that weren't motivated to vote democrat in the Kerry/Gore election, have lost their jobs/homes under the bush they put into office.  They're not that stupid.
Seriously, if there are Obama signs in Elwood, Indiana, then Obama has already won.  Traditionally, if you are black in Indiana, you stay in 5 cities:Bloomington, Gary, Fort Wayne, Lafayette, or Indianapolis.  These are basically the only "black friendly" cities in this state.  People won't shoot you, but they will treat you like a second class citizen if you go to any other city.  Black parents literally warn their kids about not stopping in Martinsville.  Now, what' I'm trying to tell you that in a state that went about 48 to 52 in the Kerry election, getting 1-2 percent in Elwood, Indiana will make ALL the difference in this state.  The fact that Obama took the lead at all in Indiana means that it's in play, but the fact that i've seen the ground game of Obama here/the ad campaign vs. the non-existent ground campaign of mccain you would understand that Obama is going to win.  You see, Hillary ran an AWESOME ground game in Indiana.  She was matching Obama flyer for flyer.  The election here was hillary by 2.  You see my point yet???

But it IS possible.  South Bend is definitely not representative of the state, but it is definitely HIGHLY pro-Obama.

We'll see.

If Obama wins indiana, bobo has to go outside and hug a tree.  I'm talking about a bear hug, maybe wear a rainbow jacket while doing it...

are you that confident bobo??

If there's a hole in the tree it may have been made by carpenter ants.  They're not particularly aggressive but they may not be able to pass up such an easy meal, so check first.

A termite hole would be too big for bobo. He would have to move side to side to get any friction. There probably aren't any holes small enough.

I can hardly accept that a person (bobo) is willing to bet the farm merely on the belief that "...rednecks and farmers" will be the difference in this political race.  I DO beleive that rednecks and farmers hold the balance of votes in this 'farming/agricultural state.'  But, that is not how bobo is using his meaning of rednecks and farmers.

Unfortunately, we all know what bobo really means; and there is that percentage.  I've only visited there, but based on my visits, I believe strongly on the way you describe it Chris.

So technically for Obama to have taken the lead in Indiana is a sign that this is the perfect storm situation for Obama to take the state.  I had a suspicion that he would take the state after the primary.  I'll admit it was wishful thinking then, but I am thinking clearly on this one.  Even if it's close in Indiana, this state is in play, and Obama's taken the advantage.  To quote bobo,"Indiana is Obama's to lose".

I suspect that he probably won't take Indiana, although this isn't a certain given McCains apparent meltdown. They look like complete morons at this point.

The Obama campaign's goal in states like Indiana has already been realized - to make McCain expend resources in a state that was a lock for the GOP.

Mission accomplished.

Indiana is a red red red state. Taking Indiana would be a humilating kick to the crotch of the GOP. The Ultimate political smackdown.

"Say my name. Obama. Say it."

They've been planning this from day 1.  Trust me, they got record turnouts for indiana primaries, and they were DIRECTLY responsible.  The Obama camp will literally be shuttling people to vote early every day.  In Bloomington, they had a shuttle that went to city hall and back every half an hour so people could vote EARLY in the primaries, even if they didn't have vehicles.  Seeing made me believe, not vice versa.

I've lived in Indiana my whole life, and I've never entertained the idea until this election...
