A site responding

It was a relief to find a site, saying out loud what myself and many of my friends are saying out loud. Yet the media is silent.

I saw the report on the Bailout. My family and friends have all been saying that those who caused the financial crash should be held responsible. Finally I hear  from the YT the report on 74B$ losses rewarded with 39B$ in bonuses as a reward. Throughout my working life of 60+ years, I only got as bonus for a job well done and the company was doing well. That to me is what a bonus is. In fact I recommend this bonus system to the baseball teams, they should get a reasonable base salary with bonuses for any extra millions they want to give only after proving their worth to the team in every game. Bad games make no bonuses. But that is digression from the subject. Let the AG or local DAs prosecute the management for misleading the public with last years results and make them all pay back their exorbitant bonuses to help restore the US Financial system. When will our media have the nerve to make such a suggestion?  My sincere thanks to TYT

Yes, it would be nice to see a few thousand greedy CEOs go to prison.  But there's just one problem:

It's not illegal for a board of directors to award CEOs disproportionally to what they contribute, and it's not illegal for CEOs to bargain with their employers for better wages.  As long as they can keep the average worker from trying to bargain for better wages, the board is going to be happy.

What we really need is an attitude shift in this country away from an authoritarian oligarchy and back to what our country's founders envisioned: the power of the people.
