The sheer volume of coverage reveals what could be diagnosed as some neurotic disorder that has spread through the World Wide Web from blog to blog like a virus.  Many posters are afraid of this woman and what her selection means for this country, and the great part of this seemingly debilitating obsession is that it’s totally justified.  After almost eight years of an administration that reflects what was thought to be the machinations of the reptilian like brain of the unthinking masses, Republicans have managed to find someone that pulls us back further to the epoch of primordial ooze.  How could we make the same blunder times one thousand again?  For these bloggers (myself included), the fear of Sarah Palin comes from the fact that an American validation of a McCain/Palin ticket means that we are all in a sense, a little like Sarah.
