great stuff. The video with Tom Brokaw and Howard Dean reminds me of something. Howard Dean is unquestionably the best DNC chair we've had in my lifetime. That's just his role as a spokesperson, of course. Its the organizational stuff that makes him a great chair. But I never have to yell at the tv when he's on. The guy is a fireball. I wanna pass out espressos to the press just so they can keep up with him. America, fuck yeah.

After watching Matthews act like HE wanted to blow everyone in the Republican Party, you're going to PRAISE this lunatic? Don't you know that if you are Liberal you want crafle to grave nanny government with absolutely no individualism or Liberty? That's the way Matthews made it sound - that only Republicans really love the country enough to be rugged individualists - REPUBLICANS! The most conforming Stepford organization this side of Radical Islam!

Matthews made me ill right after McCain's speech.  After drooling over the sheer manliness of the whole thing, he predicted McCain being ahead in the polls next week.  Please...  Are there really that many people with daddy issues who are sold by this shit?

Matthews might be holding out for a last-minute switcheroo, i.e., McCain sending Palin on a plank walk and picking a new lucky lady (-boy).  That would be the best thing McCain supporters could possibly hope for at this point.  Otherwise, Palin's hanging around his neck like a dead albatross in drag and it's Sarah, Sarah everywhere, nor any brain to think.

That Matthews seems swayed emotionally like that, going from bashing Republicans to drooling over Republicans.  I think actually there are a lot of Americans who respond JUST LIKE HIM, which is a huge part of our problem as democrats.  They are not reached by facts or reason, but through emotions.  There ARE too many people with mommy and daddy issues.  And they won't be going to a therapist to analyze themselves any time soon.

It was kind of a tongue-in-cheek lovefest, as this is what I have said before about Matthews:

"I sort of have to agree with Weapon X about Chris Matthews.  He seems to have some integrity, but also to sometimes be two different people.  Watching clips of him with Coulter this year had me seethingly pissed at him for not calling her out on her shit."

I don't even watch TV, I only see clips like this, so I never get the full gamut of the pundits.  

Still, I still watching Matthews go kind of bonkers, but of course only when he is going bonkers on Republicans.

Since many of the men here unapologetically swoon over the cleavage and legs of Republican women, I don't feel bad about my guilty pleasure of enjoying an occasional Matthews smackdown ;)
