Enough with the compliments

I emailed the Obama campaign tonight. Their constant insistence on saying nice things about their opponent is driving me crazy

Ok, so call me a nutball, but I have had it. I have been a socialist here in Canada all of my life, but you have never seen me say nice things about a political opponent. Why? The answer is simple; if you are a conservative, then you are going to have a set of principles that is completely incompatible with mine and you are going to have a view of how to treat others that I am not going to share. So, while I may not go out of my way to say nasty things  about you, you can be darn sure I am not going to say anything nice about you either. Oh, and by the way, I am not going to back down from taking you on and calling you on the dumb and stupid things or misrepresentations you will use to try and win your point.

So what is it with Obama and Biden, don't they "get it" yet? When Obama was nice, he slid in the polls; when he got tough he rose in the polls. That is a fact.

So what did I do, I emailed them as below:

Could Senators Obama and Biden please stop saying nice things about McCain-Palin. The campaign was slipping the last time they did that and only began to regain once the campaign stopped doing that. You are actings as ENBALERS to voters seeking an excuse to not vote for you, by giving the impression that your opponents are noble and motivated in their run for public office for the same reasons you are.

Biden spoke positively of McCain. Have you forgotten the following? McCain:

Had once opposed Bush’s irresponsible tax-cuts, but now criticizes Obama for wanting to pay for the record deficit Republicans have created over the last 8 years.
Has stolen Obama’s message of bringing positive change to Washington, while having voted with Bush 95% of the time.
Allowed his vice presidential pick to stonewall an ethics investigation, lie to the American public about the "Bridge to Nowhere", and decieve us about selling a plane used to transport prisoners on eBay for a profit.
Denounced "The constant partisan rancor that stops us from solving these problems", while allowing his party to, as usual, sneer all Democrats at the Republican National Convention.
Celebrated his birthday with George W. Bush as Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans.

It is time for you to get tough. In the event you have forgotten, if you lose IT WILL IMPACT US HERE IN CANADA VERY SEVERLY BOTH SOCIALLY AND ECONOMICALLY.

Please re-evaluate your strategy, it is a losing one.

End

By the way, I really belive a McCain-Palin Administration would mean VERY BAD THINGS FOR US HERE IN CANADA. I know for certain, there would be pressure to declare abortion illegal. Abortions are legal throughout all of Canada.

So, why this post? Because, I want to implore all of you TYTers to email Obama/Biden and tell them to get tough again. It is time to hit hard, that includes ads and tough talking points, combined with a take no prisoners attitude.

The welfare or your children and my nieces and nephews depends on it. My wife and I never had kids; it simply wasn't meant to be. However, even if we had been lucky  enought to have had children, it would have been OUR CHOICE, and we would never have insisted anyone else be denied their choice in this matter.

So, that is why I am writing this post. Support Obama and Biden by telling them to get tough. They need to hear from you!

Cenk has hammered on this subject and so has John Stewart. The dems just don't get it. Its horrifying to watch.

But I think the Obama campaign has their own ideas about how to wage the war.  They depend on us to vent the outrage I guess.  Maybe so they can continue to say they fought a noble battle.

HI, I emailed to the Obama campaign and I have sent them a few bucks but only get a standard email back saying they have way too many to answer them. Not sure how to reach anyone responsible. Any thoughts?

I don't know how. Most email servers use firstname.lastname@somethin g.com

Maybe for example try joe.biden@barrackobamaforam erica.com.

I wanted to make a donation but I don't think your election laws allow it. If I get a reply with a name I will post it.

In the meantime, check out the video per my blog post of a speaker who says Sarah Palin was a member of the Alaska Indpendence Party. If this is true, it would be damming and  hopefully fatal for her and McSame

TERRE HAUTE, Ind town hall meeting:

Obama delivered some of his most withering criticisms yet of McCain, although he did so with chuckles and an air of mock disbelief. McCain has acknowledged voting with President Bush 90 percent of the time in Congress, Obama said.

"And suddenly he's the change agent? Ha. He says, 'I'm going to tell those lobbyists that their days of running Washington are over.' Who is he going to tell? Is he going to tell his campaign chairman, who's one of the biggest corporate lobbyists in Washington? Is he going to tell his campaign manager, who was one of the biggest corporate lobbyists in Washington?"

"I mean, come on, they must think you're stupid," Obama said as the crowd laughed and cheered.
