Ken, ya might wanna check out Alison Krause with Robert Plant's duet, "Gone, Gone, Gone" with T Bone on guitar, you might like it.

Or how about the Fine Young Cannibals 1986 cover of "Suspicious Minds" which is nearly as good as Elvis in Hawaii.

But I think if you had an open mind you'd even like some Amy Winehouse, which if you look beyond all the media hype is actually very reminscient of early Motown. Sure sure, some peeps will say, why listen to the covers when you can hear the original, I feel ya. Every generation has great music. I think it would be just as much of a shame for someone to ignore say Billy Holiday cause they didn't like 30's or 40's music as for you to tune out today's music.
