Moore vs Hannity

You guys know how I feel about the right and the left in our country. And not many can be more wing-nuts like Michael Moore and Sean Hannity. Boy couldn’t you tell the awkwardness when both of them were on the air. The interview basically went as follows!

First, it was something about a stupid bet. It shows the lack of intellect in the part of Moore and perhaps why the Democrats are usual losers! He actually made a bet with Sean Hannity that former President Bush would be forced out of office! Hey Michael, you need a spine for that and the Democrats do not have any!

Next came some religious mambo-jambo, you know the “I am more Christian than you” kind of talk. Sean Hannity then went to the most obvious flaw that Michael Moore have in his rage with capitalism; he made millions because of it! He even had the cheek to claim that he could trash the system in Cuba and Fidel Castro would do nothing! What a joke! The hypocrisy was obvious! 2-0 to Hannity.

Sean Hannity then claims that it was right for the US to attack Iraq and the Israelis and other intelligence services were showing proof of WMDs. Hey Sean, do you think the Israelis would have sat down and have done nothing if Saddam had nukes? 6 million Jews died in world war 2, you think they would make the same mistake with allowing Saddam nukes? No way. Hannity was dead wrong.

He went back putting the blame on President Clinton, and tried to say that it was not President Bush’s fault. We in Slashing Tongue mentioned in our 9/11 episode that both these Presidents along with President Carter and President Reagan were at fault too. 2-1 TO Hannity.

And Sean Hannity also went down the path of stupidity that he thinks that there are millions of people that want to attack America due to religious fanaticism. Wow!Again stocking the flames of hatred. Yes, the Middle East is screwed up, yes. But does that mean that there are literally millions of people out there to destroy America? No! Come on! 2-2 tie.

The next topic was about whether home owners were responsible for the collapse on the financial system. On this, Michael Moore is right. They had very little to do with the collapse. It was the system. It was when bonds were pressured to be rated AAA so easily and other ridiculous laws. It was not the Community Investment Act at all. Other countries have similar bills, why didn’t their housing sector go bust? 3-2 to Michael Moore.

Micheal Moore secured his “win” in the closing minutes when he said that we do not make things anymore and Sean Hannity disagrees. Every economists agree that the biggest problem with the American economy is that we do not manufacture enough here! That is a fact. Be it Peter Schiff or Paul Krugman, economists want America to start making things again. How? That is what make them right wing or left wing. It is the tactic that they differ on, not the destination.

So Michael Moore won , this time. But that does not mean that I appreciate his views at all. For what is wrong with Michael Moore’s movie, please read our older articles on why Michael Moore is wrong!

First of all, if everybody on the extreme left and right yould have such civil conversations with each other, that would be great. Hannity and Moore, for some reason I don't know, like one another, so unfortunately this one was only an exception.

Second, I don't think that Moore is a hypocrite for criticizing capitalism even though he used it to get rich. Don't hate the player - hate the game. Moore doesn't like the game, but he played by the rules, and he played very well. It's just that he's not against capitalism because it's bad for him, but because it's bad for others.

Hannity was right when he said that Fidel Casto wouldn't allow that much dissent, but then again, that doesn't have much to do with capitalism or communism, but with a free speech system vs. an authoritarian and oppressive system (which Moore doesn't advocate). Moore didn't counter that charge very well, but in fact it's not a valid point.

Here he goes on Hannity to boost their ratings.  Hannity is someone who is a polor opposite to Moore.  Of course Moore knew this.  However, Moore still has not done an interview with TYT.  He could do it over the phone, but he still, to this day, has not granted TYT an interview.

When will people like Moore stop giving Fox credibiltiy by going on their channel and, specifically, Hannity.

At the end of the day, it is all about the cash man. As Cenk would say, it is all about the money Lebowski...

Of course; I am trying to get people to our site.  But this is not an advertisement at all. If it was, TYT would take it down in a second. Do you know how huge they are?

The thing is, what does TYT lose from this? I do not earn from the ads here...I do not earn anyway by posting one of my articles here. TYT get free content from us and I get a chance to beg you guys to come to our site.

Let me put it this way, if you want to post articles on my site, be my guest. You can also link it back to your site if you want. I  earn the ads from my site and you got your link. If you want to hyperlink it here, no problem too... :) Why? Because I get a free article with tags; all to gain and only to lose if it is very offensive or illegal. Same with me and TYT.

I am like a busker that is begging you guys to come to my concert. Sounds pathetic but true. Happens in blogs and news sites all the time, but it is usually in the form of comments that directly link back to our site. (BBC, CNN, Reuters, etc)

Give his wingnut listeners another point of view.

Moore and Hannity are not even in the same league. Hannity has ZERO credibility.

Moore on the other hand has been ahead of the curve on things like the auto industry going under.. He predicted that way back in  Roger and Me.

His latest effort is one of his best in my opinion.

In my opinion  Moore bitch slapping Hannity with a little reality  is a good thing.

Bowling for Columbine is Michael Moore's best work for me. However, I do not find, Michael Moore to be a documentary maker, he is more of a preacher.

I also think that he is one of those guys that are way far left.

But I  agree, Michael Moore has more credibility than Sean Hannity. At least, he challenges intelligently as compared to over the top accusations and antics. You heard of the NAMBLA accusation Sean Hannity made?

This is essentially a shameless plug for your site.

While I agree with most of what you're saying, it's still spam. You have no business posting advertisements here in the forums.

I agree with most of your opinions, but I object to your methods.
