The poster reads: Both are healthy, energetic, and charismatic...

Here's where it gets, erm racialist?

apriobama

They've honored Obama by naming a certain type of apricot "Apriobama." Anything strike you as, I don't know, curious?

And finally, here is a news report about the ad campaign:

http://www.gencyolcu.com/wo rdpress/2009/04/11/obama-ka yisilari/

Apparently there are postcards, and pamphlets of some sort, one of which reads as follows:

"You're right Mr. President! Just as you have pointed to, they (the apricots) deserve to be recommended and admired. But not just to Europeans, but to Americans, Asians, and African's as well, shortly, the people of the whole world should be advised (to enjoy them)..." it continues etc...

The article goes on to say that they have named one strain of apricots "Apricobama" and that there are two types of postcards printed (with the above images): one in English and one in Turkish, and apparenly some have been sent to the Whitehouse. Oh please God, don't let them be the ones that have the dark "Apricobama" apricots on them;)

There are more images on the website article as well...

Oh old world, how you humor me...

... I miss posting too, its soo much fun, but alas, its also very addictive for me and I end up getting nothing else done. So I've taken the quitting cold turkey approach (not TYT but the forum). But hey, I just HAD TO share this one:)

I thought the story was very 3rd-hour or post-game myself;D

Take care Spencer!

(although the name is a bit silly). But you know Obama is black (well lightbrown if you want ti argue, but I'm a man dammit, I only see the world in 16 colors), they can hardly call the yellow abricots "Apriobama" and the purple ones just "apricots".

Alll I see is an apricot company trying to ride the coattail of someone popular.

Good find.

But really, how is it any different from Nubian plums?
