MSNBC and Dylan Ratigan busted and contrite

liberal wanker

Let me beat Take Back Fred to the punch. There is no need to reply to this thread. Sometimes I create threads simply for future reference, and this is one of them.

This story isn't the least bit surprising, or even newsworthy, but I just wanted to enter it into the record because of how often you guys complain about political bias at Fox News.

Let it be noted and agreed that MSNBC is politically biased, and so is FoxNews.

So who cares?

Watch whichever network you like and shaddup already!

Fox News fans defend their network's journalistic integrity by pointing to high ratings and MSNBC as the liberal equivalent. While the comparison may seem valid on the surface, there are glaring differences between the two  networks.

  1. Fox News claims "fair and balanced" coverage, while MSNBC is simply "the place for politics."

  2. MSNBC devotes a three-hour daily segment to Joe Scarborough, a conservative from Newt Gingrich's "Republican Revolution." The equivalent would be Fox News giving a morning show to Ron Reagan.

  3. While Fox News has Bill O'Reilly, MSNBC does not have an angry white male talk show host that yells and frequently interrupts people. Oh wait, nevermind.

  4. MSNBC does not air a prime-time show that is akin to watching A Clockwork Orange while taking LSD.

  5. The closest Fox News gets to allowing a lesbian to comment on policy is Lindsey Graham.

  6. MSNBC will not be the network where Lou Dobbs ultimately ends up.

  7. While Fox News was covering several cases of voter registration fraud by community-organizing group ACORN, MSNBC was covering the global economic collapse and a presidential election.

  8. The prime-time lineup of MSNBC hosts all have college degrees, while O'Reilly is the only Fox News host to attend for more than one week.

  9. MSNBC is not losing advertising because of their biased programming.

  10. While MSNBC's Keith Olbermann organized free health clinics across the country to draw attention to the millions of people without health coverage, Fox News organized anti-government tea parties to try and guarantee that those people remained uninsured

"MSNBC is not losing advertising because of their biased programming."

MSNBC has no viewers and no advertisers.

They have nothing to lose.

I know I'm feeding the beast here, but Jesus Kenny.

You find one instance where MSNBC used a phony photo, admitted the mistake and claimed to take steps to insure it doesn't happen again and you want to put that up against the multiple Faux news "accidents", like labeling GOP politicians in trouble Democrats, or repeatedly using fake crownd shots or just out right lying to their veiwers.

Duly noted, you are on record as you continue to grasp at straws.

Now about that waterboarding video?

I guess you're now claiming that nobody is going to Palin book signings?

She gets 1000 at every event, because that's where the cut-off point is.

No! Noone is saying Sarah hasn't gotten large crowds, we're saying Faux News tried to make the crowds look much larger than they actually are by using campaign footage and claiming that they were just getting video in.

Much like they used video from the 9-12 rally to make Barbara Batshit Crazy Bachman's rally look much larger than it was.

It seems like a pattern of disception or gross incompetence. Either way doesn't speak well for Faux.

To be fair at least they post video, not promise video and never deliver. Waterboard much?

apples to anvils Hugh/ken/whatever.

Fox news tought's its NEWS broadcasts as News, meaning factual, when in fact they are spun in a republican friendly light.   They often have been caught with these bias's.

The liberal media as you like to call it does also have its Pundits and oppinion shows, most of which are labled such,  your own picture and link is from such a Show.   It is not slated as "news" it is slated as that persons SHOW, meaning their oppinions.

The NEWS anchors are more often than not just that on CNN/MSNBC/NBC they tell you the news through journalism.   Fox does not have a news division, it has a propaganda division that pretends its news.

Nobody would be upset if fox stated "yes we are oppinion"  its that they keep pretending that they are News that pisses people off.

so please when you compare something, compare it to similar, you cant compare fox's news station bias to a Oppinion show on another network.

Kudos to Campbell Brown for ending this debate forevermore.

1. FoxNews is politically biased.

2. MSNBC is politically biased.

End of story.

MSNBC refers to themselves as the cable news subsidiary of NBC.

MSNBC reports the news of the day, along with a strong element of unabashed liberal political bias. And there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. If only the New York Times and CBS News were more open and outspoken about their obvious liberal bias.

I don't know what country you're from Ectheleon, but over here, freedom of speech is protected in the Constitution. I have the freedom to purchase satellite bandwidth, and start a cable news service called Hugh Everett News. I am allowed to broadcast news in any matter that suits my fancy. And you are not allowed to abridge my right to communicate my conservative point of view.

I'm glad I could clear this up for you.

masquerading  republican propaganda  as "news"  as in repeating republican memos verbatim as they where cought dowing  does nothing to further their credibility as a reliable news source. They make no distinction between news and propaganda.

glad I could clear that up for you

you repeated your ignorance of facts again, and tried to act like you educated someone.

Secondly I am a American, I know full well the rights/privalleges of being a American, in MY country when a program says "The most trusted name in news" when they run 80% opinion jounalism shows, and their 20% news hours are still oppinion based, they have shown that They are lying to the American people.

You cant compare them to msnbc or nbc or any other news outlet, they too have opinion shows, that are clearly labeled as such (also most the fox news shows also label themselves as opinion, I have no problem with that...msnbc does opinion.   So does fox, what we are talking about is their "NEWS" anchors.

MSNBC's news room when it runs news anchors and reports NEWS, trys to report just the facts.

Fox does'nt, they cheerlead tea partys, or report with a blatant slant to right wing, ignoring facts and reporting oppinion as News.  That is what we have a problem with.

Now please stop quoting bullshit out of context and trying to act like your winning a argument.  Your arguing apples to anvils and you dont even realize it, which is sad AND pathetic.

are full of ignorance, stupidity, fear mongering, and a Overwhelming desire to deny facts and real life.

So you making the claim that anyone is lacking intelligence is actually a compliment.

Besides, arguing anything of substance with you is pointless, you never admit when your wrong (which is often) and you never offer anything of substance, only propaganda and lies.

Please, repost some other article that contradicts what you just said, just be careful, new internet laws could fine you for reposting news links, thank rupert murdock for that, if they go through you will actually have to draw your OWN conclusions for once.
