TYT Wins Best Political News Site (& More News!)

Saturday we won an award for being the Best Political Podcast over Rush Limbaugh and Bill Maher. Today it was announced that we beat out Huffington Post and BBC to be awarded Best Political News Site. So what do we do now? First, we thank the awesome fans out there who won us these awards. Second, we use this momentum to bust into 2010 and punch the competition in the mouth by winning a Streamy Award for Best News or Politics Web Series!

Here are 3 Easy Steps to Vote for TYT once every day through January 15th 2010 at Streamys.org:

1. Use the drop down box to select Best News or Politics Web Series
2. For Series Name enter 'The Young Turks'
3. For Series URL enter www.theyoungturks.com

Note: Only ONE vote per IP address per day. If you live with someone who wants to vote, please encourage her/him/them to vote at work, school or a friend's house (only once per day). I do understand why they try to keep the votes to one per IP address, but that'll restrict family member voting.

Note: Only ONE vote per IP address per day.

Is that one vote per IP address per day in total, or one vote per IP address per day for each category? Because if it's the latter there are a couple 3 other categories (such as "Best Web Series Host") that we could vote for.

I believe you can vote for TYT in multiple categories, but we think we have a better chance to win if we focus attention on just one. It's hard enough to get some people to vote every single day for a month for ONE category, let alone two or three.

Why is the 12/16/2009 show disguised as (none / 0)
the 12/172009 audio podcast and why is there no video posted for 12/17/2009?  I can see R J Eskow on the repeat stream, but that show is not what is available on the full podcast page in the 12/17 block as of 2255 PST on 12/172009.
