Putting TYT on MSNBC letters

Hey all, just though I would post my letter that I sent to MSNBC on behalf of TYT here for people to read.  I thought it might be fun to for everyone to share their letters/emails/etc.  If nothing else, it will give people who have not yet written anything some ideas on how to write their own.  Here goes:

Hello, I just wanted to write this letter to encourage MSNBC to give its newly open time slot to the fine men and women of The Young Turks.  I have been a subscriber of TYT for quite a while now and would love to see them branch out into other media.  Adding TYT to your normal line-up would not only be a fantastic opportunity for them, but would also represent a chance for MSNBC to profit by taking advantage of the current political climate.

If the election of Barack Obama has taught us nothing else, we can take away the knowledge that the American people are tired of the partisan rancor that dominates modern political discourse.  We have grown weary of the trite and empty rhetoric of the language of politics and seek answers to our problems that aren't burdened by political maneuvering, particularly in times of economic hardship.

Given this political environment, adding TYT is both timely and apropos as they have held to this philosophy of candidness since before it was fashionable to do so.  Cenk Uygur in particular is not afraid to call out figures on both sides of the political aisle while still maintaining a strong progressive view point.

In summation, bipartisanship is the new political buzzword and MSNBC stands to gain tremendously from tapping into this new spirit of honesty and political transparency; and to be blunt, nobody keeps it real like Cenk Uygur.

                                                    Sincerely,

Evan Tyran, a guy who will be watching a lot more MSNBC once TYT joins on.

I love it.

Make sure you tell your friends and family to send e-mails as well.  As Cenk said, something as simple as "I want my TYT on MSNBC!" will do.

I think an important part of this is getting the TYT name out there, and keeping it in people's mouths.  Even if we don't get this slot, increased presence/awareness is always a good thing for the larger war.

Re: America needs TYT on TV

I have been a longtime viewer and big fan of MSNBC. Your news coverage is always at the top, but it is your network's presentation of politics that keeps me coming back for more...especially the Election '08 coverage. Hardball, Countdown, and Rachel Maddow are all doing a great job, and I watch them religiously. But MSNBC is missing one more vital voice that would not only compliment your existing programming, but would attract many more viewers: The Young Turks. I, along with many, many other members love The Young Turks so much, that we pay a subscription fee every month to get all of the content that they offer. The Young Turks cut through all the hype, sift through all the noise, and bring the unbiased political commentary that America really needs. Please, put TYT on MSNBC.

Sincerely,

Matt Rael

Please put on Cenk Uyger from The Young Turks!

He is a progressive host who actually has some conservative leanings so you'd get a larger swath of an audience, and since he's a bit conservative it'd help MSNBC keep political legitimacy because some people think it's too liberal

Also the guy is hilarious, and made for TV

I watch MSNBC all the time but always find myself tuning out at 10 pm....this could really keep me glued in that time slot....and the rerun!

Bye

Probably tons of grammatical, stylistic and spelling mistakes in there, but who gives a shit, were here to let them know TYT deserves the spot, not to win a spelling-bee contest (im german, so i can use that as an excuse if something is obviously wrong =P)

Hello MSNBC Program Directors.
The Young Turks needs to be on MSNBC at 10pm. No other news show applying for this spot has a host as charismatic and entertaining as Cenk Uygur, no other show has worked as hard to build up and none deserves the spot more. What american TV needs is another strong liberal voice and The Young Turks is that voice.
Change is coming to america, The Young Turks are coming to MSNBC.

Greetings,

I'd just like to add my vote, if you're counting, in favor of Cenk Uygur, of the Young Turks, as a new member of your MSNBC prime time line up. The recent election saw record turn out and participation by the youth of this country, including my kids.  I know for a fact, that people like Cenk have earned their credibility with this younger thinking generation, just as Rachel Maddow has done, and they have earned a following with some of us "older" folks as well, who take the time to listen to our kids and get a fresh viewpoint. Please give Cenk Uygur some thought yourselves.

Thanks for all of your continuing great programming on MSNBC.

Regards,

Here is my letter. Even though you do not live in the US, let them know you see MSNBC and would like to see TYT

Good Afternoon,
I currently live in Madrid (Spain) and watch your shows through your video streams on the http://www.msnbc.msn.com/ website. Since MSNBC doesn't have an international signal in Spain (only CNN, CNBC and FOX have one) I resort to your great video stream to watch Countdown and the Rachel Maddow show every day. I also greatly enjoy watching MTP Monday mornings.
It has been brought to my attention that MSNBC is going to program a new show in the 10pm slot. I would like you to consider Cenk Uygur to host this show. Cenk Uygur has been hosting a daily show on the www.theyoungturks website and I find his analysis of the news very entertaining, and in sync with MSNBC's editorial line in the evenings. It would consider it an ideal option for a show to follow Countdown and Rachel Maddow. The Young Turks Youtube channel has an enormous following with over 3 million viewers and I'm sure that people who regularly watch The Young Turk videos on You tube would surely follow the whole program on the MSNBC website.
Thank You for your programming and great video streams
Best Regards
