It's a hit piece that Marcus Epstein wrote in 2003 concerning Martin Luther King Jr's legacy--the Google entry for the piece indicates Epstein was a college student at the time.
Epstein begins the lampoon by rhetorically asking why the American right-wing have gradually come to their collective senses over the past generation regarding the importance of King's legacy. I'll let the author present his, "reasoning," first hand:
"Why is a man once reviled by the Right now celebrated by it as a hero? The answer partly lies in the fact that the mainstream Right has gradually moved to the left since King’s death. "
Ummm . . . yeah.
You might want to read this article when you have access to a shower or bathtub. I'm guessing you'll feel as dirty as I did after you're done.
Keith Olbermann REALLY needs to take a swipe at this guy. Please see my post on getting Epstein nominated as a, "Worst Person." If this invective doesn't convince you, I don't know what will.
