Please Stop With The misinformation About Connecticut!

Democrats voted for Ned Lamont. .We voted for him in the primary and in the general election. Joe Lieberman goat almost 75% of his votes from REPUBLICANS and the rest Independents and yes some loyal and primarily older Democrats. Were they scared? Yes. were they misinformed? Hell yes!

But for the most part, Joe's money and his votes cam from the Republican party. Hard-core neocons who wanted to vindicate GW and continue the war were his greatest supporters and money began to flow in from places like Florida and Texas to his campaign. The media was no help and we lost, but not by much.

Right now we would win - by a lot...

As a fellow CT resident and a registered Democrat (for lack of a better party) I agree that any CT Democrat SHOULD have voted against Lieberman.  Many of them obviously did in the primary because as we know he lost and we effectively kicked him out of the party.  However, I am wondering where you got your 75% stat from.  I'd be curious to look at that breakdown.

But it's so fun to blame Connecticut for Lieberman.  I mean, your state motto is "He Who Transplanted Still Sustains," fercryinoutloud!  It's like you're begging to be dissed!

Well...  Okay, if you insist.  But it's still okay to blame Connecticut Republicans, right?

I worked on the Ned Lamont campaign right up to the end and we won our district in Fairfield county. I had quite a few discussions with voters as they went to the polls and most thought Lieberman did a lot for Ct by bringing in government contracts aka pork. At that time we were trying to end the Iraq war and people were convinced Lieberman was against the war. It's hard to sway years of bad information from the media in one short conversation but we seem to have convinced a few.
