Barney Frank Fillets a Chorus of Townhall Dimwits (14 min Video)

Barney Frank, one of my favourite congressman, yet again dispenses with a serenading troupe of townhall regurgitators. Wielding his ever ascerbic wit like a lurching claymore.....Enjoy this 14 min vid!

are what is sorely lacking. This healthcare debate may well be a turning point in which some of the new bloods and stalwart lone rangers may finally erect some backbone into the democratic party. I think Pelosi has always had it, she just never had any backup. Another person to watch for is frequent TYT guest Tom Perriello:

...didn't challenge the Republican Strategist on the "Obama got zilcho Republican support on his stimulus, therefore it must be the fault of his radical Leftwing agenda."  I have come to expect that, even from the supposedly fringe Liberal bastion which is MSNBC.  Why was he giddily in near tears of laughter when he pointed out that Sarah Palin had made fun of Community Organizers?  Was there anything funny about the way she did this?  Is there anything funny about the concept of community organizing?  Did he think this guest, a former Community Organizer, would find the question funny?  Being made fun of by ignorant rural Virginians about something he cared about that was skewered and slandered by politicians in address to a different former Community Organizer?

Are only the fringe allowed to answer questions? .. All of them had some right-wing talking points in their questions ...

One thing I admire about Barney Frank is his assertiveness ......

He is the only person I've seen put Billo in his place ..

to know what you don't know , you tend not to want to listen to what someone, whose position of repsonsibilty or balliwick may just suggest they know a whole lot fucking more than you think you do. More often than not these clusterfucks get into their heads some cursory understanding of how the the world works, courtesy of Fox News and somehow devise that all the irreducible complexity of the world is nothing more than poppycock because the NewsCorp Pied Piper told them so.

The other person I saw put Billo in his place was Phil Donahue.  O'reilly tried to bully him and Donahue fired right back at him.

Here's the interview.

...do you think Congressman Frank swayed by his answers?  He was funny, he attempted to answer the questions honestly, he had ample facts, he let them ask followup questions, and this isn't some Conservative FOX-friendly district in Alabama--this is a suburb of Boston!  My guess is that not only did he not convince a single person who came into the Town Hall believing that Government was about to throw small business owners into ovens, but nothing he could have possibly said would have convinced them.  Or gotten them to stop yelling, or gotten them to go and read an article describing what is actually going on in the health care debate.  He is reasonably lucky he wasn't threatened personally.

Their intent wasn't to learn about the Bill, nor were their concerns about the bill genuine ... all they know is that they have to "Kill the Bill" by any means necessary ..

p.s ... Don't see why the Democrats waste their time answering questions from the Fringe .... nothing they say/do will sway them ... they have one mission & is to destroy Health-Care Reform ..

the oozing ignorance had some style, ryhme and reason about it. Not like Rep. Gene Green's here in Texas, whereby the dissenting rabble embody well the ingenue of moronic homo erectus, imbibing and then opining ever too loudly on the hollow whisper of their thoughts, that an all too assenting mass of like minded, toothless and dishevelled imbeciles agree to.

Take a looksy
