Obama Crumbling On Health Care?

I noticed that TYT has once again jumped the gun on something they know very little about apparently. They believe that Obama's going to deliver this speech and crumble to the republican/Corperation rule. The question is have they some how jumped to the future listened to the whole speech?

Eitherway I doubt Cenk and a lot of other people realize how powerful the lobbyists and corperations have become. And fighting them isn't going to come from the president alone it also has to come from us.

Replace the 'blue dog' democrats for a start.

Most Americans want reform

The right wing nut balls  at the Town Halls this summer represent a very small fraction of public opinion.

Obama will push through health care reform

Regardless what is in it now. It can be tweaked and improved later.

At least thats what the conservatives say.  They say that its just the beginning that the real goal is gov take  over of health care.

Its probably true. single payer WILL probably be the eventual outcome.

The conservatives dont give a shit about health care  they give a shit about the trillion dollars a year the health care industry makes off of sick people. Everyone knows that and thats why they dont have any credibility on the issue.

The Democrats and conservatives need to be reminded  that Democrats won BIG TIME

Conservatives had their chance now its ours.

We dont need them  as has been already proven

Obama is going to point this out in his speech

How does it feel to be beaten so badly in the elections?

SURPRISE

You forgot how meaningless conservatives really are.

Obama needs to grow a pair and come out strong for the public option.  He has caved so many times already that I doubt we'll see any growth. Remember we had bank bailout II without any attempt to reign in the banker robbers with regulation, we had "credit card reform" without any usury limitations on rates and we have strong evidence of a torture regime without any significant investigation.  If he were not willing to stand up to power and lobbyists/corporations, why did he say he would before the election?  The public option is a symbol of whether he will ever stand on his two feet and fight for the little guy. Right now I have to be hugely skeptical that he or the Democratic party are anything more than a Trojan Horse for the corporations.  Both political parties are puppets for the corporations (something that begins to look like Mussolini's Italy in the 1920s).  This is his last chance to regain his movement, which right now looks more like a bm.

He isnt going to do everything liberals like

but he is one hell of a lot better than the nightmare we endured for 8 yrs.

Need any reminding of that? Watch Cheney on any number of TV shows touting the virtues of torture and making up laws as you go.

Enough with the fucking spelling corrections already.  Your glass house is ENORMOUS, and you don't even do it in a funny way.  I'd give you wide berth if you could make your criticisms even vaguely amusing, but calling someone a pussy is only a joke if you're doominator, and you don't want to be doominator now, do ya bobes?  No, of course you don't.  (Speaking of doominator, where was Johnny Spelling Guy during his "Marine Core" follies?  Not exactly fair and balanced of you, B.O..)

you are totally familiar with.

hmmm   I wonder if the Democrats are going to use the " nuclear option"?

I remember when the conservatives used the 51 vote reconciliation tactic  to cram through tax cuts for the rich in 2001 and 2003.

Gosh I wonder if the Democratic majority in the Senate remember that?

A conservative believes nothing should be done for the first time

The OP is right, there has been bo reliable information on what Obama, let alone Congress, will do or not do. If I'm not mistaken, this whole liberal desparation is based on a leak by an unnamed Obama advisor. But Cenk himself said it only a few days ago: Be careful with leaks! You don't know if they're true, and why it was leaked.

One possibility is that they want to give Republicans and the health insurance industry a false sense of security. Have you, too, wondered where Joe Biden has been all the time in the reform debate? Maybe he's had conversations with Olympia Snowe. Think about it - she backed Obama on the release of additional TARP funds and the stimulus package. What does that say about her chances in a Republican primary, and her chances in a Democratic primary? Maybe she has learned something from Arlen Specter, and maybe that's what part of the "deal" is about.

Vice President Joe Biden said Thursday the Obama administration is fiercely determined to get a health care overhaul, although he conceded it likely won't happen without "an awful lot of screaming and hollering."

Appearing at a Brookings Institution gathering to talk up the employment dividends of the $787 billion economic stimulus plan, Biden said it will be difficult to find a consensus on remaking the system. But he also predicted that "we're going to get something substantial" and said he believes "we're going to get there."

Biden spoke as President Barack Obama continued a pre-Labor Day rest at Camp David. Obama is shifting his push for health care changes into high gear next week with a State of the Union-style address to a joint meeting of Congress.

The vice president suggested Obama will tell Congress and the American people precisely what he thinks must be included in the package that the White House is pressing lawmakers to approve this fall.

Axelrod was out today saying the public option is alive and well.
